I believe I’ve read most all of the threads on here about the PAC seat. I’ve been eyeing one from a far, Utube, posts on here. I got on their site this morning and now both style of seats are available. The past few times only the regular version has been in stock. Do I get the regular, longer legged one or the turkey, shorter style? What makes me second guess is some have cut length of their chair making it shorter. So what about it? I think I’ll pony up and get one, but which?

I like the regular one! They start making the Turkey seat around October every year for the season. Nuterbuster has a YouTube video about both side by side.

In the wide open woods, the shorter may be better but in grass, beans, corn, deadfalls, etc, I like the taller model. If u don't see them together you'll not notice the difference. You won't be sorry with either one. I did cut one of mine down 3" but maybe wouldn't again.

One other factor to consider: what weapon do you plan to use when hunting with PacSeat? You will want to be taller for archery, especially trad archery. Firearm and crossbow may allow a lower seat height?
I've shot most of my critters w/a 64" Widow Recurve from the seat or sitting on the ground, Just cant your bow.

Crossbow hunting with the turkey seat. I can rest my arms on my knees for frontal shots.

I don’t own one (would like to get one too) but looks to me like the longer leg version lets you prop the seat up against a tree if you want to. Not sure if you can do that with the shorter one.

You can prop it up by leaning against a tree, but it's not as easy as the taller seat. The taller seat straddles roots better. I have had both.

This picture was from quitting time yesterday evening. The root on this tree was right on the bar. Any lower legs and I would have had to set up differently. I have the full size. The turkey height would have been a no go. If later, you want to cut a full size one off a little is would be a pretty easy job.

Alright I was able to use my seat just once before our deer season ended here. I’m learning what I like about it, how to pack things in to the woods with and so on. I have been able to use it for a couple scouting/varmint hunting trips in the woods, since the seasons closed. One thing that I dislike is the legs hanging down enough to make contact with the back of my legs when crossing over dead falls and such. I’m not ready to cut the legs down just yet, as I’ve seen others do. I do think I might change up the shoulder straps to raise it a little.

That's about my only gripe, it can get annoying. There's a solution though.

I have the standard sized pac l-seat and that’s what I did. It raises it higher on your back which can increase snagging when going under low hanging limbs etc., however there is virtually little to no interference with my legs or ground debris now either.

I might be the odd one here, but I removed the shoulder straps and waist band since they are low quality and seem like design afterthoughts. Instead I strap the seat to the outside of my Exo k3 and it works great. Less pac, more seat but it’s a great high end lawn chair for the woods.

I’ve strapped it to my pack too and it works great but I also use it by itself a lot especially for turkey and predator hunting, fishing and use the straps exclusively.

I like the high one. One of the big advantages hunting on the ground is being able to stand up and move quickly. I have been able to stand and move a few feet, left or right and get off a shot that would have not been possible if I was unable to move quickly.
