Wearing a belt

overalls, no pinch from a belt and no cold back from pants riding down and jacket riding up. suspenders on my saddle to keep it up. i got no rear so i need all the help i can keeping everything from sliding down

I bought a few pairs of jean weight bib overalls in camo (one from nature gear another from redhead).

It makes a big difference even in weather not cold enough for my true insulated bibs (with side zips, etc). I just pull my jacket down over the back of the saddle and I'm good. I only wear regular pants in a saddle when it is above 50 F.

I make cheap, soft, adjustable belts out of kits like this:

Obviously not great if you carry a lot of weight on your pants, (knives, guns, etc) but they are fully adjustable, help keep your pants up, and don't dig in while saddle hunting...

I picked up a pair of old school camo overalls on here specifically to test this out. And because I thought they were cool so wanted them lol. Need to lengthen the straps a few inches so it's not trying to give me a dang wedgie the whole time they are on, but think it'll work well.

I like regular lightweight overalls to but I found I can't wear them when using my saddle because the side snaps/button will eventually end up pinched between my hip bone and bridge loop

Hm. Good point. I'm a but too... Rotund... To button these ones up so I might just cut them off. Strap mods first. Sorry for the sidebar OP. I did find that belt under saddle didn't work well for me, bulk and my saddle has an austrialpine buckle so had some metal on metal going on there

Most of the pants I wear hunting has suspenders, but if i happen to be in a pair without them I just use a single strand of paracord. Not perfect, but keeps the pants from falling during the walk. Comfy in the saddle , and super cheap.

I wear a nylon Bison (brand) belt with a plastic buckle I got for $5. Just something to keep my pants up.

I wear suspenders also. Marsupial make a nice easy to wear belt.
STRETCH WEB BELT - Marsupial Gear

Thanks for posting this! I Don't really have any issues with a belt in my saddle but, I have been looking for a quality stretch web belt for everyday wear that doesn't break the bank. I have almost pulled the trigger on a Groove belt a couple of times but, couldn't get myself to spend $60 on a belt. I got this belt in yesterday and love it. Only problem is after I got it my wife told me she had ordered me a groove belt, "because I was too cheap to order one myself", a few days earlier.

I use a very rigid leather belt for IWB carry. When hunting, weapon goes in pack and I wear my saddle above this belt for transport. In the tree it is under this belt. Comfy

I've discovered my usual belt I wear hunting, which is a heavy duty reinforced nylon belt is too rigid for saddle hunting. I usually carry IWB while hunting as well, but I've nixed that too since going saddle. Switched to a cheap-o nylon belt that came with a pair of non-hunting pants since it's so thin and floppy. More comfortable with the saddle for sure. Still trying to sort out the carry situation.
Tried to carry different ways. IWB does not work in the saddle, period! OWB interferes with the saddle and pouches. Tried shoulder holster but that was in the way while climbing. Went twice this year with a drop down tactical holster. I like that a lot. Although, it starts looking like anything but hunting if one shows up with camo, saddle, rappelling gear and now a tactical holster.... lol

I got a couple pair of these.

I got heavy duty suspenders from Lowe's to clip on. Allows for quick release in a bind, regardless how many layers one is wearing over them

Arcade elastic belts are my favorite belt of all time. Not only hunting but as an everyday belt. So comfy and super lightweight. zero pressure
I picked one of these for skiing but it’s my go to for outdoors and hunting use
