A little update.
The surgeon wanted a CAT scan to confirm a hernia. The scan came back showing no hernia, but a swollen lymph node. Since the swelling and pain had been drastically reducing, we’re just keeping an eye on it for a month. If it swells again, or is still big enough to feel, we will do a biopsy.
Total time out of work, 1 week waiting on CAT scan results.
My wife had her appointment with the ortho. She definitely has a small tear, and some tendonosis. But, the ortho thinks her pain is from an inflamed bicep, with possibly a small tear where it connects. She has been out of work for 2 weeks now, and will be out for at least another 4.
Budget is in lock-down mode, but with only her out I should be able to have at least an abbreviated season. It sure does help that we are 14 months ahead on the truck payment!! Skipping one or two of those to help out.
I’ll at least be able to get at least one license for when I’m able to hunt in November, and hopefully the Oklahoma one. The out of state Ok license would let me hunt without guns in the woods for almost 3 weeks, and would put me on all the properties I have prepped this year.
If I have to settle for the cheaper in-state Tx license, I will be rifle and shotgun hunting some for the first time in a decade, essentially blind.
It is still a little sucky, but a HECK of a lot better than what it could be!
