This thread has a ton of info about backpacks! Not sure if you have seen it. Some guys want minimalist, some want a frame pack, all depends on what you want to bring in and out.

The topic of packs has been hashed to death on here, and there is lots of good info to be found. Search the forum threads and you'll eventually find something valuable to help you with your own choice. But be prepared to do a lot of reading, and try several different packs until you discover your own personal requirements. Most of us don't even know what we want until we discover what we don't want. One thing for sure, there is no "best". At least not best for everyone in a general sense. You'll have to find what's best for you.

Search tip: go to google.com and search like this: "best pack" site:saddlehunter.com, or if you find a pack you think you'll like, like the Horn Hunter G2, then search like this "Horn Hunter G2" site:saddlehunter.com. I think the google tools are better than the saddlehunter tools for searching the threads, and the results are easier to use.
