What’s your arrow/broadhead setup ?

BE Rampage (.001)
250sp
Steel half-outs
Nocturnal Necks
TAC vanes
100gr Magnus Black Hornets

Total arrow weight right at 500gr

Mathew's vertix 70#
Gold tip Airstrikes 250's cut to 29"
Airstrike aluminum insert and ballistic collar
Ironwill 150 grain single bevels
520ish on the overall weight with 15% FOC

side note: I would like to try the 300 spine airstrikes. With my set up i was right in between 250 and 300 spine on the spine chart so i took the side of caution and went with 250s. but the airstrike insert sticks out of the arrow 1/2" so i could have got my arrows cut to 28 1/2 and been just fine which would have put me in the 300 spine range. that would have made my overall weight around 475 ish with ~18% FOC.

Another side not: I highly recommend looking into archers advantage! It's a really awesome software that will help with arrow choice! I wish i would have had it before buying my arrows.

Sponsor changed this year so my equipment has to follow suit. Gosh, this is exciting but gets old when thy keep coming out with all the new goodies.

Will be shooting the Ultra Tech Hyper game wrecker bow this year. (Yet to be release ultrasonic technology launches arrows at hypersonic speeds. Want to be as close to the overseas competition as possible. I’m using on-x this year and will just launch arrows from my living room couch towards the public land hotspot).

138” hyper overdraw with 187.9863% industry-leading letoff.

690 gram arrow bombs, (following YouTube star’s recommendation for complete pass through).
690 grain x-caliber broadhead, including wasp dyna jackhammer whacked out mega knockdown heads.
69 grain inserts, lit by solar and blue tooth enabled for tracking.
Invisible vanes, the ultimate in stealth nano technology.
0.85 lumen Dog face spinner wheels
8” matrix shaft for the ladies
Upgraded from stock to the 0.345 yellow school bus strings and cables from Max the Magician.

All will be launched using the battery operated 6.9v BTY (Better Than Yours) release using electrical impulse technology with retina detection and reflex retention.

16380986532 hectares effective range, maximum of 12 parsecs from triggering release to impact.

Once I get it dipped in the new latex infused hydro camo ruberization fleece I should be good to go.
Pretty sure P&Y won't recognize this as Fair Chase but sounds good? Just out of curiosity what were your sipping on or inhaling to come up with this? Lol

Not sure I've ever met P or Y.....what do I care if two dead guys care about my weaponry and if it is fair chase?!?!

LOL. I wasn't sipping or inhaling anything. A lot of the posts on this thread sound like NASCAR commercials. I was just checking to see if anyone actually reads the other posts - or really cares - what anyone else is shooting. Quite frankly, it seems like most of the information in this thread contains jargon that likely only means something to the person posting it.....but it is entirely possible that could just be my ignorance showing. o_O

Goldtip Airstrike with the trad 600 half out, TAC 2.75 Drivers and cut to 27”. Coming in at 453 grains. I’ll shoot a Rage 125 with an Iron Will wide for frontals. I may call Grim Reaper and see if their 2 blade is good for vertical bows.

Black Eagle X Impact 300 spine 29"
40 grain aluminum outsert
150 grain Cutthroat
Right about 450 TAW 16% FOC
I'm looking at a very similar arrow but with GT airstrikes. Have you had an opportunity to use this on deer? If so what was your bow set up? It's a new arrow for me, seems like it should be plenty out of a compound 65-70# @28"

Thanks!

shooting Easton FMJs 5mm.
125 grain magnus stingers
nocturnal nocks
standard blazer vanes
total arrow weight is right at 450gr and they fly super well for me (27.5 draw and 60lbs)

Yes I've shot a couple deer with them & both were passthroughs & dead within 50 yards. They were both broadside, double lung shots that didn't hit any bone though so most broadheads would've been fine. One was 32 yards & one was like 25 I think.

2 different bows, one V3 31 & last year the V3X33. Both 29" draw 65 lbs.

I really like this arrow setup. Not super heavy like the trend but kind of a mid weight which I think is perfect for shooting whitetails. They fly great too but I will say you can hear the cutthroats a bit in the air.

I do like the micro diameter too. I have compared to a more average shaft diameter but only 20-30 grains lighter TAW and the X impacts penetrate farther into the target every time by 3-4".

Perfect, thanks again. I went with airstrikes mostly because they were in stock. I like the collars too

Gold Tip Hunter XT 300 spine 29", 100 grain brass insert with 100 grain Iron Will wides. Arrow is a tad over 500 grains, 505 off the top of my head. Believe I'm getting 275fps (again off the top of my head)

32" Black Eagle 250 spine
150 grain brass insert
200 grain VPA right single bevel
TAW 695 grains

Bowtech Revolt XL at 33" draw pulling
58lbs. With th 220 fps EZ-V insert.

Well you got a laugh out of me :D

Reminds of gun forums where there’ll be a, “what’s everyone hunting with this year” thread. Ends up being 10 pages of posts and no follow up replies I.e. nobody cares what anybody else is using :D

I followed the ole Ranch Fairy last year.
Mathew’s Halon 6
Sirius Apollo 300
125 spin inserts with 125 grizzly stick broadhead a.
TAW 585. With 20.5% FOC

using my homemade cover scent to get them directly under me and then I just shoot them between the shoulder blades.IMG_0855.jpeg
