What ATA bow length do you use for saddle hunting?

Getting back in the saddle game here

I’m really wondering what ATA bow length can be used? I have a bowtech realm x at 33inch ata
Just wondering if a shorter ata would be better for saddle hunting

I used a 36” ATA prime rival last 4 seasons with no issues. This year upgrading to slightly shorter ATA at 35” (prime black 5). The black 9 was tempting but finding a case for that thing would have been a problem.

Anything will work
Unless ur looking for a reason to buy a different bow then I say go ahead lol
I’ve done the same for less reason
I’ve hunted with 30 inch vertix and 35 inch black 5
Both were fine

Yes
Always trying to justify buying more bows!! However to get back into the saddle game is about the cost of a bow

I usually hunt with my 30" Parker Poison, but sometimes I bring out by crossbow. Crossbow is definitely a bit harder being a horizontal set up.

There are may trad hunters who find it easy with longer bows. I do wish to get my hands on a gearhead to test it out, as packing one of those in and out would be a compact breeze.

I would say get yourself hanging safely from a tree in your saddle setup( practice height close to the ground) and shoot what you have.
Couple great YouTube videos out there on shooting from the saddle and various platforms.

Then after you have practiced awhile decide for yourself if you would be comfortable for a change in any length.

I have found Saddle Hunting to be just like any other system. It constantly develops. So the more you do it the more you may want to make changes or not!
