What bow are you hunting with this year?

What were some of us symptoms of the deflection issue? Just curious because my 2016 escape has acted funny in the past. I really like shooting it, but tuning has been an issue in the past as well.
It all started shortly after buying the bow used off of facebook with a soft clicking sound coming from my bottom cam during the draw cycle. The clicking eventually stopped. Fast forward about a year later I noticed that every few days there was some "play" in my bottom cam. As in I could push against the cam and I could feel it seat into the limbs.

I took it to a pro shop to get new strings (I burned through a set of ABB in a year) and to take a look at the bottom cam. They were able to determine that the bottom limbs had cracked around the axle and that's where the slop in the bottom cam came from. Bear Archery covered the limbs under warranty and sent the pro shop new limbs. When the new limbs and new strings were put on there was some weird cam lean. That cam lean was caused by inconsistent limb deflection between the two bottom limbs. It was at this point that the pro shop shipped the bow into Bear Archery to figure out why. It was the techs at Bear that were able to determine that it was caused by the damaged limb pocket.

Any of this sound familiar to what your bow is doing?

Mathews Creed. Couldn’t cough up the money for a new bow this year.

Shot one of these when I bought my RX3. I was bad close to buying this one instead. Ultimately, it came down to the fact that just wanted to try the carbon bow. Never have really shot a Mathews that I really liked (or that felt good in my hands I should say), but the Vertix was SWEET!!!

I'm new to bows. For my first bow I ended up choosing a Bowtech Carbon Icon. I've been shooting it for 3 months now. I just upgraded the rest to a Vapor Trail Gen 7 and put roller guides on the bow. I also maxed the weight at 59.2lbs and retuned. Looking fwd to a whole lot of learning on this new adventure.

2019 Elite Ritual 30. Maxima reds with the G5 Montec. This is my first season out of a saddle. I have a trip to Kentucky for their opening this weekend!

Triax
70's Bear Kodiak Hunter 55#@28"

My goal is to take my first deer with the recurve this year at some point. I learned to shoot with my dad's Ben Pearson recurve when i was a kid but never hunted with it. I will probably hunt more with it here at home in PA and the Triax in Ohio

Mathews Switchback. Bought it new in 2005. The last few years I've been thinking about treating myself to a new bow but I'm not one who needs the latest and greatest piece of equipment. And how much of an improvement in performance is it honestly? Tough to part with $2k on a new setup when ole' faithful has been treating me well. Now if you guys can convince me otherwise...
The Switchback is easily one of the top bows they ever produced. You would notice some improvement in terms of hand shock between the switchback and the newer models...That said, lack of hand shock is not what kills deer...If you shoot it good, stick with it! I shot my Drenalin for many years before getting the triax last year.
