Im going backwards on bows this season. Recently sold my Triax and PSE Evolve 28 and picked up a PSE Xforce SS to use while hanging in a saddle backing up my son who will be hunting with a Mission MXB 360 (couldn't get the poundage up high enough on his compound). This will be my 3rd SS since they originally came out in 08. Its an unbelievable bow at less than 27" ata. Im running a minimalist setup on it with an EZ V sight and WB rest. Just finished building some Easton Hexx arrows that are hitting hard and quickly off the stings of the SS. Still on the fence about the EZ V, but will give it a few more weeks of practice before i change it out. Best of luck this season. God Bless

Bow tech tomkat. Can’t remember for sure how old it is but I think I got it in 06. Looking for a deal on something newer but I have full confidence in the tomkat.

I'm hunting with a PSE x-force Vendetta. I shoot a 32 1/2 in draw so its hard to find a long draw at a reasonable price. So i will probably have this bow 20 yrs. Like i had my old hoyt pro vantage rocket. Lol.

Mathews Switchback. Bought it new in 2005. The last few years I've been thinking about treating myself to a new bow but I'm not one who needs the latest and greatest piece of equipment. And how much of an improvement in performance is it honestly? Tough to part with $2k on a new setup when ole' faithful has been treating me well. Now if you guys can convince me otherwise...

No convincing from me, I’m a guy who believes if it’s not broke, don’t fix it

I shoot "my bow". It's the bow on the right and the first of about 50 recurves my Dad built. He built the middle bow also. All of his bows are labeled "My Bow", which was going to be his trademarkif he ever started selling them to anyone other then friends and family. He wanted people who shot his bows to be able to say "my bow" when people asked what kind of bow they shot.

Darton 3800, my only complaint is the length. Before I started tinkering with it I was gettting 322 fps from a 412 grain arrow with a 28 inch draw. That was at 70 pounds, I now shoot 60. Darton is severely under-represented IMO.
Yea thats fast I was at 310 with a 420 grain arrow 29in draw and 75lbs from a new Mathews Vertix. But I upped my arrow weight to 500 and I’m around 270fps now.

The same one that I've been hunting with since the 1994 season. Acadian Woods Carbon Signature Series one piece recurve. 60" and 58# @ 28".
