Today was the last day of deer season for me. I wasn't able to go hunt though. Sick kiddo.
I stripped my bow completely of all parts, limbs, cams, bolts, etc in preparation to hydro dip it. Picked out a pretty cool camo pattern. It's currently just black. I know I missed all those big 14 point bucks because they saw my black bow. I just KNOW IT!
It's getting camo dipped in true timber strata. Hoping I can do a passable job. Gonna dip my stabilizers and their mounts, and the LTR. Wish I could do the sight and rest but that's way too much disassembly.

My garage and shop are unfinished, my eyebolt is in a 4' 2x4 that distributes the weight across 2 rafters. We had a garage ceiling collapse when I was a kid and I might be a bit overly cautious about overloading mine with venison critters.
Better safe than stupid. Theres no reason not to spread the load.
I went back to my 11mm tether so that i could have the convenience of the ropeman.
I hung over a creek with just 1 stick and and a ring of steps about 8' high.
I held still with 12 deer on my left and 6 on my right, waiting for a mature buck.
I missed that mature buck and watched him leave.

Finished everything but grinding burger. 
Sunday did a 3.5 mile loop to pull 2 trail cams. Yesterday did weighted(2x40#db) 20" box step ups in my work out. In that transition of still being in season but heading into pre-season.

Hardly. I have learned the hard way that any let up means a big back slide in ability. Lots of folks including myself joke about sayins like "Keep Hammering" but there is a good bit of truth and wisdom in it. I went 20+ years avoiding the gym like the plague. I am paying for that but also getting physically better which I hope translates to still chasin 'em like @WHW for another 20+ years. I have also found it is easier to embrace the suck on a hunt when you embrace it every week in the gym.
100%. If you’re regularly used to doing stuff that’s uncomfortable, winter sits in a saddle become a little less crap-a$$ and that might be the difference between staying the extra 15 minutes it took to see that deer, or getting down an hour early because you’re uncomfortable then watching a deer walk right by your cell cam 50 yds from the tree you were already in.
Yeah that’s exactly right. I’ve done a lot of grueling things in my life so hunting in nasty conditions pales in comparison. This is also why I like having trail cam photos - so I can be reminded of exactly why I’m willing to endure. A day of hunting bad conditions is much better than a day of working in bad conditions.
I’ve done 75 hard twice, it’s really cool to find out how much more you’re capable of than what you currently do. Personally kinda take the keep hammerin thing that @BTaylor mentioned for the good, because there is a bunch there (like shoot every day and excercise etc.)
Picked up another descender for work and play (mostly play) I'll likely use this for the 2024 deer season too

Sweet. It's the only multiscender device, with a lever, that can rope walk. I don't think I'll like it better than my RRP, but I'm a gear nerd haha

t heavy? It looks like a bear but maybe your camera just takes such epic pictures.
It's pretty light. That being said, I just tested it out and hate it lol. You pretty much have to move the lever completely open to start descending. The ergonomics just suck too. There isn't sufficient room to comfortably work the lever IMO. No wonder it was on sale.
The Megawatt is much nicer.
EDIT: I'll retest with some 10mm. The 11mm was at the top of its range
