I use a Ruger American Predator in .308 Win during the rifle season here in TN. I am also known to use a tang-safety model Ruger M77 Mk II in .270 Win. Big fan of the Ruger company. They know how to make a great rifle.

As for muzzleloading, I use a Traditions Pursuit Ultralite in .50 caliber.

Ruger Gunsite Scout and a T/C Compass, both in .308.

I have 2 30-30s as well, but they haven’t seen action in a while.

I'm a 270 man, Remington 700 I bought myself on my 18th birthday and it's been absolutely phenomenal. Never had to track a deer more than 5 yards with that rifle. I do still occasionally take the Mossberg 20ga for a walk if I'm bushwhacking.

Love my 270! There will always be one in my safe! Is it technically still tracking at 5 yards? :)

H&R ultra slug hunter 20 gauge
Accura V2 in-line 50 cal

I really want to update my Savage with a Boyd’s stock.
It is a tack driver with a great trigger. Just want to put a Boyd’s stock on it.

How do you like that slug hunter? I have owned several H&R/NEF guns and liked them. Thinking about a new slug gun...

The trigger is not the best, but that is an awesome and accurate slug gun! Unfortunately the H&R Line is no longer being produced. I believe they were bought out by Remington and a decision was made to stop production.

You’d have to go used market to get one.

I carry the Pennsylvania Pump, the Remington 760 in 308 topped with a Leuapold 3x9, I have rattled of 3 shots in a little over one second! about as close to an assault rifle as you can get

Man, in my opinion, those H&R/NEF guns kick like Missouri mules.
Highly dependent on caliber. For example, since their 12 gauge, 20 gauge, and .410 barrels are interchangeable, they're all the same outer diameter at the receiver. Which means the 12 gauge is a very light gun, and the .410 is obscenely heavy.

This is true across the board. So calibers/gauges that are already heavy hitters are made worse due to a light barrel. Milder, smaller calibers are made even sweeter due to the sheer mass of the barrel. My .243 had no recoil at all, but my 20 is a little stout.

Thompson Center Impact 50 cal.
Marlin Model 1894 44 Rem Mag. Bought this for 75$ in 1976- a friends wife put 11 bullets in the tube sent it back to Marlin and they fixed it for free!
I'm glad I never notched the stock for each deer shot with it otherwise it would look like Willie Nelsons Guitar!
Both with non magnified red dot scopes.
Can you tell I'm a brush hunting kinda guy? Gave My Remington 7600 270 to my son he likes a scope, and doesn't mind having his shot deflected by a twig into the next county LOL.

Savage light weight hunter 260 rem
Prefer the 260 because nosler loads a 100 grain good for deer up to 300 yrds. There are not alot of open field shots where i hunt. I have spent the last three years figuring out what i liked. Tried 300 win down to 223(legal in florida). The 6.5 were the ticket for me. Helps when you can change out your own barrel.
