What are you all using to strip your Tethrd One sticks? Just a roll? Kit? Something special? Thanks!

I took measurements myself and asked lou to custom cut for me. I refused to pay Tethrds insane shipping prices. I don't believe lou is supposed to sell the one stick strips through himself. But he recognized the the measurements I sent him, and he threw in the extra miscellaneous pieces for the sticks for free. He's the man.

All I did on mine are the posts and the versa button or whatever they call it. I'm anal about sound but just being careful and taking my time prevents 95% of sound making. I SS every last in of my beast sticks years ago and took hours. I'll never do that nonsense again

These were for a customer so I went the extra mile. My personal sticks have gutted paracord on the step/standoffs. I find the bulk of the noise on Ones is from their stacking system. Once you eliminate that system you could probably get away with minimal stealth strip.

I took a razor to the raised linear bumps on the orange pegs and strap my sticks with a Titan strap. Makes for a MUCH quieter release of the sticks as just using the pegs for alignment purposes.

Tethrd sells stealth strips for them. You're spending a little more to have them cut them versus buying from Stealth Strips and cutting yourself.

I also had a roll in the same color and went over the back of the Versa cleat thing metal band. But this leaves tag ends on the front of the stick, so I did some narrow bands all the way around the stick both above and below the cleat thing, so that nothing would lift off.

Some tips:

1. Clean stick with 90% isopropyl (no 70% as it can have oils) or actone
2. Do not unpeel the whole piece at once. Peel back one whole side just the edge, get it stuck on there, and then start slowly peeling and laying it down as you go along
3. An older driver's license helps a lot, especially going under the overhang of the versa cleat thing

I did a combo of stealth strips, vet wrap and hockey tape. Stealth strips on the faces of each stand off, vet wrap and hockey tape on the tubes. Took me about 3 hrs for 4 sticks. Pretty quiet and I had rolls of the smoke stealth strips already so didn’t want to buy dedicated strips to save a bit of cash.

I’ve tried that route. It didn’t last one trip to the woods.
I use the cheap camo tape too. I’ll usually have to add more tape to my platform but it’s cause I stand on it and it’ll wear. Maybe do it twice a season. I just paint my stick. Never understood the hype for stealth strips. Are y’all’s sticks really that loud?

Vet wrap lasts a season or more depending on moisture level.

Stealth strips are effective, but not being able to easily remove kills it for me.

I didn’t like one application and removed stealth strips from a stick

it took 15 to 30 minutes to pull the strips off, rub as much adhesive off as possible with a rag, and then take the rest off with denatured alcohol

The Tethrd One stick are pretty loud. I generally try to setup my sticks to be pulled from my back while climbing so Stealth Strip comes into play.
