To get our own Classifieds for Traditional bows and gear in this section?
“What would it gain?”
1-stop shopping for Trad only gear? It seems to work for AT. I know this site doesn’t have the traffic that they do but IMO it would be nice to have everything in one section for like minded folks.
Not picking on you, just hating on that other place. We cool.
I’ve done a ton a ton of buying and selling over there throughout the last 10yrs and I refrain from the actual traditional forum as much as possible. The classifieds on there have gone to hell the last few years.I’ve bought and sold a pile of stuff on AT. I just don’t get involved with much on the general speak in forums. I wouldn’t cast dispersions on AT’s asparagus.
I wouldn’t say that. They had a hiccup earlier this year with redundancy posts, but all in all I’ve done well there.I’ve done a ton a ton of buying and selling over there throughout the last 10yrs and I refrain from the actual traditional forum as much as possible. The classifieds on there have gone to hell the last few years.
Perhaps, not sure.Leatherwall has gotten really bad!
When I say “gone to hell” it’s because nobody wants to deal anymore, everyone demands to know your bottom dollar right out of the gate, the lowball offers are ridiculous and everyone is generally a cheapskate. “Like no man, I’m not selling you a brand new $1400 Black Widow for $500 bucks!”
I believe I’ve bought stuff from you over there before.
TradTalk would be my 2nd choice after this forum for traditional gears. But I have done a few deals on AT and have not been burn yet so all good, but I stay away from most of the toxic that sometime leak out of the A&E in AT.
Leatherwall actually does a pretty good job of keeping the place civil. Which is surprising because most of the guys there are old retired bowmen with too much time on their hands, actually figured out how to use their smartphones, and love complaining about everything that is wrong with today's world. Cant wait to join that club in a few decades.
Depends on mentality. I know several my age that are for sure firmly entrenched curmudgeons. Screw that, I'm stayin 29, piss on 'em if they cant take a joke.At what age do you get to join the old curmudgeon club. At 64 I'm not sure if I'm on the cusp or firmly entrenched. I definitely have to bite my tongue sometimes.
