Where Do Platforms Go From Here?

No I was thinking it'd be a DIY solution with kydex panels you can buy online....
Basically its a few steps....
1. just like they make a mould of your hands do the same with yr rear end...
2. Make a cement reverse mould of the butt mould.
3. Heat a thick sheet of kydex that is sufficiently large in an oven, then wile hot and soft, form it into the cement mould and let it cool and harden.
4. Figure out a way to make an adjustable whale tail under it,
5. Modify your saddle to fit it!
Super easy DIY!
This is a cool idea! Somebody needs to make it happen

We’ve been trained that everything has to be constantly revolutionized to be good. But that’s just not the case. I’ve got a predator platform and it does the job just fine. There have been some slight improvements to the concept over the past few years and presumably there will be some others as time goes on. But in general I’m content with my platform for long hunts and a ROS for short hunts. Both concepts are small and light enough, pack well enough and are functional enough. We can’t let the industry keep our attention focused on purchasing more new crap. Our time is better spent improving our hunting skills and strengthening our relationships with friends and family over venison dinners.

Ultimately this is my conclusion to my original post. 1. There will always be someone “inventing” a new method of ascending a tree just to name it after themselves.
2. There is only so much you can do with or change about a platform before it becomes something else altogether.
3. Incremental changes and improvements will always pop up from time to time.
4. The camming platform is here to stay.

I’ll concede that in the near future we’ll see a 1-stick that at hunting height folds out to be used like a micro lock on, but at that point it’s not a saddle platform. We’ll see.
