Where to aim?

I am no pro hunter by no means but I try to shoot for the heart . If the deer ducks you will hit the center of the lungs if it does not duck ,you will hit the heart .

this I always try and aim a little low in the top of the heart/lungs area

I’m also 5’4”. Were at a serious disadvantage on our arrow speed. I made the mistake of shooting byte biggest buck I’ve ever shot about with an expandable and lost it due to poor penetration. Afterwards I switched to a heavier arrow, started shouting Magnus buzzcuts and have been blowing through deer. I try to shoot for the heart. One doe I shot last year I accidentally hit super low and she left a ridiculous blood trail and fell over in about 30yds. When I field dressed her I saw I had cut the bottom of her heart. Any lower and I would have just nicked her or missed. A little higher I would have been through the lungs. That back strap area is from the devil lol. I’ve shot through there before.
