Who’s generally content with their hunting setups?

I'm very satisfied with my current setup. This is my third season in the Treehopper Recon. This is my second season using 2TC as my climbing method. I don't really have to give climbing and the saddle much thought anymore. Just grab the backpack and go.

Would still like to make a few clothing tweaks, would really like to find someone to build the stand/platform and still trying to get the broadhead project back on track. As far as hunting right now though, I am about as dialed in as I ever have been. It is fun going into the woods feeling lethal again.

Genuinely have everything I've ever wanted. Clothes, boots, bow, Xbow, saddles, stands, sticks, Ebike, cell cams, amazing reloading setup. Got absolutely everything.
Only 1 thing else I want that's a solid want and not a need.. really want a howitzer to top off my collection. Thinking Serbu 50 cal or 460 Wby.. too many deer keep stopping behind trees and I'd rather just blow through one instead lol

I would say I’m 95-99% happy with mine after the few tweaks I did pre-season. I’m very comfortable with my one-stick climbing but I am starting to play with 2 tether climbing. I just upgraded to the CGM Cobra saddle and that was a huge upgrade for my size and I love it. Other than that I’m pretty much good.

I will say that I will probably always be considering different packs. I lave the Alps Pathfinder and I like it but find I’m not using it just as a fanny pack as much as I thought so I’m considering going back to a regular backpack. But it’s paid for and it carries all I need and it carries it well so it’s hard to justify spending the money for something else.

Pre set private. DRT rope, and a platform. I like it. Its the way I climb with out making a lot of noise. I like that I am roped in the whole time.
If I am not headed to a pre set I am fine using a set of sticks. They are not the fancy state of the art climbing method. But it has worked for years. I have been moving back towards a simpler approach. Don't over complicate it. I may ditch the bow and just go to a crossbow again.
I think I finally settled on what I like this year.
No plans to change anything. "Famous last words right"

Still searching for a pack that works but otherwise ive got my system(s) in place at a level im well pleased with

Don't tell the support thread, but after 3 seasons I pretty much have my saddle setup dialed and didn't make any major changes this season. I am down to 9 arrows so I will probably try some 5 MM arrows next year and maybe will add a piece of clothing or 2 however I don't really consider that part of my saddle setup. I think getting the pack right was the most difficult.

Time will tell ha. I just picked up a JX3 again. Sold mine in the offseason and bought another soft saddle. Was wanting a JX3 again and found one in the classifieds. I think I’ll enjoy it more paired with the Latitude sticks and minimizing what else I bring. I’ve got the essentials in a Redhead fanny pack. I don’t think the setup weighs any more than my soft saddle setup and carries better.

The right pack makes everything else work the way it should.
amen. im content with my setup and one of the latest things i got that really tied it all together was my pack. (kuiu 1800). Not saying that pack is THE BEST saddle hunting pack, just saying for me when i got the one that really fit what i wanted and was trying to do, it made a big difference.

6 years of saddlehunting and I've never done a full season in the same kit (big 3 of saddle, platform, climbing method). Individual parts have made it full seasons.

The goal this year is JX3 exclusively. I'm batting a thousand so far. That said, I've already changed platform and climbing method with new JX3 sticks that replaced ROS & DIY sticks...so the streak continues.

It seems that I fall on the not content side of the spectrum, but I don't think of it in terms of discontent. I just like to try stuff in person, have resources that allow for somewhat frivolous experimentation, and I can always find little problems, annoyances, and discomforts to try and resolve.

I think each persons pack requirements are so specific to the person and how/where they hunt it makes it hard to get relevant recommendations. Saddles requirements are very general compared to all the factors that go into getting the right pack.

I'm content with my setup, mostly. Trying a new backpack this year. Also, I'm looking to get some lighter climbing sticks in the future like the Tethrd One or Latitude Carbon. Platform, saddle, clothing, bow and arrows are all dialed in.
