Finished product, but it’ll be pretty reasonable and supports a good cause of keeping my daughters interested in the outdoors and nerd stuff instead of boys. I’m planning to list them over the weekend and can post a link for anybody interested.Do you share the file or sell the finished print?
This is what I use. The covered wire or 16 gauge annealed trappers tie wire. Buy a roll from a trapper supply house. It’s black you can crank it down with some needle nose. I think is less obvious than the straps.I have also used a thin metal wire to wrap around the tree, they come in green which is nice. Also hard to see
Finally got my new camera mounts listed for anybody interested.Finished product, but it’ll be pretty reasonable and supports a good cause of keeping my daughters interested in the outdoors and nerd stuff instead of boys. I put most of my cameras up about 8-10 feet, so I just carry one stick with an aider around when it’s time to change batteries. That’s mostly kept bears off them and they don’t seem to affect deer movement the same, but I get a few more squirrel pictures than I’d like.
Can you get a python lock on it? Maybe something to consider? Here's the design I was working on to make it easier to hang a camera when standing on a stick. I'd like two or so people to beta test for me, since I'd like to sell it at a later date. If you're interested in beta testing one, PM me.
I think the design will work well - and I set it up to work with cameras which have the mount on the bottom as well as those with the mount on the back of the camera body.
