Who uses thumb releases? What do you like?

Thanks for all the feedback ! It’s helped and just cool to hear what everyone is using. I have small hands so I’m taking that into account as well. I’m leaning towards the hot shot eclipse, hot shot x spot, carter wise choice, or Carter first choice. Anyone prefer the finger hole built into the rest?

I like the finger hole. I can't say exactly why. Maybe a subconscious thing. I feel like I wont drop it with the finger inthe hole. I shoot a nock 2 it and a wise choice as a back up always with me. Same release really but the wise choice has an extra finger groove.

I use a Stan shootoff 3. I also have a Carter target 4. Would have to say I like my Stan more.

So I went with the carter wise choice. I struggled between that and the stan perfex. I think I’ll be happy with it. I do read how awesome the trigger is on the stans but I also how how so many are happy with their Carter’s. But with all of the research I’ve been doing almost everyone said after they switched to a good thumb release they’ll never go back to a wrist release

Carter chocolate 3 finger. Clean the innerworkings after each season with weapon shield solvent and lightly lightly lubricate it. The adjustability of the thumb trigger is too dang perfect.

You really want to grow your cajones try using a back tension from the saddle. Tru ball sweet spot pro has a safety. Whoa baby

As a puncher I have found thumb buttons to be a temporary fix. From any stand my only solution to consistent activation is a hinge style release. I like the Sweet Spot Pro best. Just FYI I would avoid cleaning releases with oil based cleaners. Weapon shield is designed to dissolve fouling unrelated to archery releases. I would use a combination of aerosol electrical cleaner, WD40, and compressed air.
