Second season one-sticking. After having my pack being called “frumpy”, and seeing/borrowing a waaay more efficient alternatiWhy does everyone climb with the extra weight of a pack on their back? I am old not in best shape so i leave my pack and bow at the base of the tree. I have only hunted one stick for one hunt. Tagged out gun week from the ground. But anyway it seems like packing all you brought with you when one sticking would increase difficulty.
im 64, but I’ll let you know when I hit middle age!!I am getting tired of you young 59 year guys calling your self old. For the record middle age is 60 to 80!#$%
I was at 12 ft one sticking up when I heard a deer walking in the leaves, looked around and this one was at 30yds inbound. He came all the way in, walked right under my azz less than 5ft from the tree I was hanging on and then walked outbound. Had my bow on my back but all I could do was watch him walk. It’s as quite as you want it to be, no different than sticks.People can argue all they want, more movement, noisy and more effort and debatable if any faster than sticks. I have been on public plenty and had guys set up near me. One stickers are always very obvious as to where stick guys not so much. If I can hear and see them flopping around so can the deer. Sticks to me are far superior fir stealth!!

If anyone is yanking their stick off the tree while climbing they're doing it wrong. I climb with a Mission and that bracket really bites. I don't have to yank it to get it off. I can climb quietly and efficiently with no issues.Way different than sticks, yanking the stick off the tree
The first pic of the stick is me lol....and we both know they can still be removed gently.
Just curious. If you where on sticks with a linemen belt could you have gotten a shot of do you think.i know 1 sticking puts you in a couple different positions when climbing.rather than just standing.asuming you could reach your bow without getting busted.i climb with my bow to.I was at 12 ft one sticking up when I heard a deer walking in the leaves, looked around and this one was at 30yds inbound.
