Whose waiting to walk into the woods

I work for a private company and had to use my vacation time for covid so I'm out. :mad::sleepy:
 
I’m happy for y’all. I’m headed to Kentucky next weekend. Sadly it’s not a hunting trip. Heading to the ark and mammoth cave. Just how messed up does a wife have to be to have her husband in Kentucky during deer season without a weapon. We were supposed to make that trip in April. Just blame it on Covid.

The upside (with the associated downsides) of working whacky retail hours. Get to hunt during the week and after work but the trade off is getting up at 3am every day.

Yes It's called $70k in college debt that took me a decade to pay off but got me a job in tech industry with ultra flexible hours/scheduling.
 
Will be out there Friday evening and Saturday morning/afternoon. Sunday is my anniversary and I just get the look if I start with "Honey...Sunday I'd like to ....(then I get frozen with that look)...ummm take you out for a really nice dinner and a walk in the park where I proposed to you." I'm dumb at times but not suicidal.
 
Back in saddle for afternoon had a little buck under me for 45min Was thinking about moving but it hard to walk away from white oak raining nuts. Gonna give it another shot on a county trail in WV20201001_141535.jpg20201001_101423.jpg

I will be leaving the house about midnight Saturday morning for my Saturday morning opener here in VA. So, yeah technically I am sitting in my truck waiting to walk into the woods!
