Why don't yall 2TC?

If the JX3 was pulling down on your tether it wouldn't matter if you were using a mechanical or a hitch right?

The hitch will be better descending as it’s just easier to unload under weight. The mechanical needs lifted up and with the weight it’s just not as easy. Now ascending I like the mechanical more

I kinda like my one C-IV tether that's got a WLR hitch on it the best for 2TC?
It breaks easily both directions!
Only thing I don't like about it is how long it is. I'm short and it takes up a lot of room that I could be using as adjustment.

I'll get a picture of it in a couple minutes...

I have been loving the WLR hitch. You are right, it's just a little bit long. JRB longhorn hitch looks similar, but still a little longer than I like. The cool thing is that you can use lot's of different hitches as the base, but finish it up with the longhorn. I am thinking a knut, or a Cornell upper and longhorn lower.

Gave it another go today. Went much better than the first time. Pretty sure if i make this my go too climbing method I’ll still rappel down.

Check this out...
I'm primarily a one-sticker and yes, I rappel down.

Part way through the season last year I started 2TCing down instead of rappelling.
As long as there's no limbs to go around coming back down 2TC is quicker than rappelling and putting away all of the rappelling stuff.

I use the knutView attachment 82663tied directly to the bridge with the end of the cord stuffed inside the tubular webbing.the paracord in the tubular webing Acts as a tender.you can also use the ends of the cord to tie a tender like i did on my foot tether
I really like that, I'll have to experiment with it this summer. And with 2TC.
