Why don't yall 2TC?

Prusik, the way I climb it is by far the easiest to move.

That said, I switch out hitches randomly. WLR probably gets the most love.

I’m surprised the WLR Hitch isn’t more popular. I can easily progress capture and rappel with just that hitch. Having said that, I back up the WLR with a Munter on my secondary bridge just to be safer when I rappel.

Well that’s not horrible then if you lean heavy on the ambush side haha. But what happened to your real saddle?
It was actually pretty awful. Wouldn’t have been as bad if the webbing I had was a little longer. Also I should have made the bridge a little longer too. It felt like cable aiders on my bottom and rocks on my hips.

I left my saddle in a separate pack that I had my onestick/scouting rain set up in. I have two set ups minus a saddle now so I think I might make a second saddle after I make one for a friend. I commented not too long ago that I never left my saddle at home. Sure enough I did yesterday lol.

I think I only forgot my saddle twice so far this year?
Now that I keep an extra one in my truck I'm sure I won't do it again.

I decided to climb with my rappel rope and figure 8 yesterday since I made the worst make shift saddle ever and wanted to be able to get down in a hurry if needed. WLR hitches on top, figure 8 below. The rope really was not difficult to manage at all and was a viable way to climb with 2TC. I still prefer two regular tethers to climb and hang from.

Also, I’m getting away from the Blake’s hitch foot loop again. I found a nice compromise with the tether, hitch, and footloop girth hitched directly to the hitch chord. You get the nice 1” webbing foot loop with no metal. Also, the way I climb I’m pulling slack out of each tether every time and you really can’t do that with the Blake’s hitch set up.

Tell us more about his saddle you made...

Cool, you should toss up a thread or something when you get done. I’ve been kicking around the idea of a no-sew webbing seat plus RCH for a few years. Be curious to see what you come up with.

Okay spill it Samcirrus what’s the new modified jet foot ascender you spoke about? Can’t just mention that and move on lol!!!!
Lol, will take pics asap.....just used it last night..... a longhorn agile main hitch with a footloop attached by some trc and the notch jet stepfoot ascender with stealth modifications makes for the easiest SRT climb you'll ever see.....
Before tailgunner chants "2TC or die" at me,...it was a 30' preset set by a 2TC climb a month ago.

Oh mine will be a fully sewn saddle. Probably identical to the one I currently use. If you want a no sew saddle then there is no other choice than the diy fleece saddle.
