Why don't yall 2TC?

Is it a diy fleece saddle? Do you have instructions for making it?
You need to try one. It’s minimal investment. I used one for 4 seasons and plan to continue to use it when I get back home. I’ve got some ideas floating around in my head on how to improve it a bit like the ability for an adjustable bridge and a little more upper back support but I won’t be back at it until next august at the earliest.

What is the best hitch for the top tether? I am wanting to try this 2tc out finally. I want to keep my top tether as my rappel rope. So I need the hitch to be able to break under load. Also, how can I make a foot loop or bottom tether with what I already have at home?

I like the WLR hitch for my rappel back up that can also break while loaded.

Use your lineman’s belt for bottom tether and make loop with a Blakes hitch if your linesmen or second tether is long enough or make a webbing one like I show here. do you have any 1in tubular webbing?

I also use the WLR hitch on my top tether/rappel rope and rappel with a munter from my secondary bridge.
The WLR allows me to stop and go hands free and breaks easily when weighted.

How many feet of cord to tie WLR?

Try all the ones mentioned before me, but I love the Longhorn agile because its so easy to put on and off a rope, I use it for all my hitches now.

What would you say is the ideal rope for 2TC? I am assuming a stiffer rope larger than 8mm?
Looking for suggestions.

Samson Predator 11mm
Sterling HTP 11mm
Bluewater Assault 11mm

Are all great choices.

You can climb with 8mm and up perfectly fine limp or stiff rope. I like the larger diameter because it’s easier to grab with my hand to pull myself up.

Lol, I'm using my 5/16" (7.9mm)ultra tech ala @phatkaw and loving the stiffness yet easy packability. Using 75' for my complete system now. I use both ends as tethers (wire stiffened) yet can quickly SRT on presets.

Will I be seeing any of that in CLASSIFIEDS at some point, cause it sounds awesome!
Nothing premade, possibly take some requests. The change in diameter would be a problem for friction hitch users if lengthening from the 10mm back down to 9mm. The one in the picture was stiffened for 4’, maybe expanding the diameter the whole length would be safer?

No videos coming, it’s simply taking the core out, putting the 4mm inside, and putting the core back in the cover.

I’ve found a simpler version of the WLR works just as good, 4 wraps and 3 of the weaves, bringing the cord ends up and to the back, keeps it more compact.

Anyone run the Jrb 523 in soft bridge mode on their top tether?

Messing around with some stuff laying around.
Lately there has been a lot of guys asking about foot loops so I came up with this... (again)

No carabiner, I just fished the webbing directly through the Ropeman and tied it off.
Works pretty good so far...

I had a similar thought until I remembered the ropeman uses the carabiner to lock onto the rope. It might work temporarily but I’d be worried about the webbing getting caught in the teeth or something.

Any chance you could put up more detail on that WLR variant? It looks like you did 4 turns at the top and then started doing the cobra weaves without any turns at the bottom.
