Why don't yall 2TC?

I feel more "agile" (its only a feeling, agile is not used to describe me very often) in tennis shoes but lose comfort and I am more comfortable and secure in my steel toe stiff shank work boots. Neither one is perfect for me. I'd like to find a stiff shank water proof hiking shoe to try this with

For me the agile feeling comes from being able to bend my ankle in the tennis shoes. The hunting boots don't allow much of that. I would like to get some good hiking boots with some ankle support but not too much, and a stiff shank in the sole. I think a lot of my knee pain comes from walking miles in those Lacrosse boots.

the two times I tried climbing in my lacrosse boots it went terrible. No bend in those damn things and no great for hiking in….but it’s nice being able to walk through a foot of water without issue lol.

i have the Oboz Bridger’s for hiking. The climbs I’ve done in them went really well, the downside is they are not insulated and those cold mornings in PA make it real tough to sit still while you’re feet are icicles.

I'll have to look into those boots. Maybe you could get some boot cozies to put over your boots for insulation once you get up to height. They might work on a platform. I'm not sure about a ring of steps.

I’m on a ROS. I’ve thought about it though. I may try some warmers in the toe box, during Early season it’s usually not much below freezing by me.

I think someone is making a decent pair of heated socks that uses a battery pack. That might be an option.

Not that I want to take anything away from 2TC, I intend to practice this over the summer, But on the pole trees you have you could set a false crotch while you are up there with 2TC if it is the right tree to hunt from.
Right, 2TC is a great way to preset for SRT/JRB/MRS!

Are you setting paracord loops over limbs and through existing crotches with 2tc or are you installing false crotches? I'm trying to get some information on what people are doing with false crotches on straight limbless trees. What materials are people using? Are they leaving these out indefinitely? How cost effective?

If some of us get together and have some races .I think we would come to a concencess on method and gear as a base line for the red beard official 2tc thread.then people could study and learn it more efficiantly with more info vids and picks.on the first page of his new thread.
I know I've been waiting for good weather and my college semester to be over to make a video, (yes just an excuse but good ones) however I have enjoyed seeing others 2TC videos and think its great if we all do them!

I could probably put a video together given some time to do so. Is there any way to upload a video to this site without first uploading it to a website like Youtube? I don't have a Youtube account and don't intend to set one up just to post a couple of videos.

Personally, I just use preset cords over at least one branch or crotch. I've seen the false crotch ideas but can't afford 2 climbing rings (1 big 1 small) for each one.

For school we use vid grid, idk if that's an open sharing site or not though? I'll take any alternative over youtube, but right now it's all I got to share my ideas with you all...

That's what I have done. I keep hearing rumors of false crotches but when it comes down to it, I don't get the impression people are actually doing it. It seems to be theoretical, lol.

I understand. I don't want to get started with Youtube either. Maybe some of the Moderators or Administrators will chime in on the video posting question. It would be nice if we could upload a video file like we can post a photo. Maybe we can? I've never tried.

I know @Allegheny Tom has posted videos through rumble, not sure what the process is for that but its not youtube at least

I think Rumble is sort of the same thing as far as setting up an account. I'm not sure, but that seems to be my impression based on very little knowledge of the particulars.

Hey, if I can do it, then it must not be very difficult. I'm not exactly a tech nerd.
Can't talk politics here but let's just say that Youtube definitely needs the competition from Rumble. Same with some other social sites.
