Small petzles.you cant side load any small carabiners on a tree.

Cinching à tree and sideloading à corner are not the same geometry.there is no rated carabiner that will bend cinching à tree.safty gear is desighned to bend befor it breaks so you can inspect it visualy and take it out of service.i broke this cheep chinese carabiner over à corner of a curb with à sledge hammer.7 hits.the gate broke first .and it still holds my weight bouncing.View attachment 81782

I would use a bowline in the place of the figure eight follow thru.I came across this video today and if you 2TC and rappel down this might be of interest to you.
