Wild Edge perch

As with any platform it only makes sense to step on it after you are strapped to the tree. Quite frankly, any product has the potential to slip if not applied properly or if there are any abnormalities in the tree it is strapped to. I have a gen 1 and love it!

I'm a little confused where you came up with "unsafe" from WE releasing an upgraded version. There has yet to be one documented failure posted here where a Perch 1.0 has failed because of no wings. Realistically, if you don't like your original, sell it and buy the upgraded version. Every single vehicle manufacturer on planet Earth has upgraded their safety systems over the years. Did they give you a brand new car?

When the time is taken to learn how to properly use your perch, there is no wobble, period. With anything you use, you need to practice with it. Practice makes perfect, if your getting wobble, keep practicing, its you not the perch. Maybe through the off season just practice from the ground, getting it tight putting weight on and so on. If anyone gets wobble, time should be taken to reset the perch everytime, safety is not worth sacrificing for a deer!

I went through each of my steps to find which one the perch would work best with. I have issues getting the perch off the step, which in my mind is fine because there is no wiggle when I'm up in the tree. Each of my steps are different with the spacing of the gap.

I ziptied my perch to the stepp it fit best. No wiggle or noise for the season. Albeit, it was just a bandaid on the issue.

Guys, the new Perch design doesn't make it safer. The tabs sole purpose was to make it more user friendly. The original perch is 100% safe! And with proper installation can be made just as rock solid as any other platform. But there are instances where a slightly bent step, loosely cammed steps, or soft bark would cause you struggle to get that solid feel. All the tabs do, is take some of the user error out. It helps lock the platform to the step and or move your bent standoffs right where they need to be. You still have to cam it tight. No one ever claimed this to be a safety upgrade.
