He is an individual and has developed a system that is pretty slick. This is the website https://genesis3dprinting.com/ ... I haven't tested any of his products. But the "griprs" attach into his "belt style versa hanger" which would be attached to a molle loop on a saddle. He has a product that carries the WEI perch, and then a "gripr" attachs to the clip holding the perch (https://genesis3dprinting.com/products/perch-clip-system).

It can also be flipped and it has a hook that can slide directly into molle webbing

Man take it from me, get out there on the tree about 2 ft off the ground and turn yourself upside down, hang upside down, sideways, try to shimmy out of your saddle, etc. Do everything that sounds stupid other than intentionally shock load yourself or your gear. Prove to yourself mentally that the saddle is safe. I was scared to death of falling when I hunted from a climber or a lock on. Not necessarily scared of heights, I worked as a crane technician in a previous job, so I was used to being way up there. But I was scared of the fall absolutely. I'm not scared at all in a saddle. You just have to be able to trust your equipment, and execute things safely.

I am scared of heights. I am not scared in a saddle. I was scared sitting in hang on's, ladder stands etc.
I think you need to learn to trust your equipment before going for a sit.

I had to order the “griprs” for my steps/perch and ridge runner in my never ending quest for max efficiency. This site is bad for my bank account! Will have to field test and repost with some feedback

Good first impression and will test in the field this weekend. The tolerance in the plastic is tight (as it should be) so I had to notch a hole in my vet tape to get it to fit

My sole climbing method is the WE stepladder. Like @kurtis use the cain method, and unhook to advance. I do not use the insider however. I also use 4 steps to get to about 20', 5 steps get me in the neighborhood of 25, but I always have a step attached to my perch. The perch/step ride on my saddle, and the steps ride in a bag. I have been carrying an extra step this year though and put it up after my platform as a hand grab/gearhang/bino shelf, it's been work out good.

I do the cain method as well, but I’m not getting 20’ with 4 steps (5’ per step). I get about 3.5’ per step, so 4 steps only get me to 14’. How are you getting 5’ per step? Educate me!

How to do carry the Perch on your saddle? I tried the “Gripr” at 6 o’clock position on my saddle tonight and the plastic broke when I tried to put the perch back in at end of my hunt. Worked great for the walk in though

I carry my perch and steps in a backpackuntil I find the tree in going to climb.
When climbing, I have a small paracord loop tied on the perch and clip it to my saddle at the 6 o'clock position with an S-biner.

I use the us patriot tactical itw web management straps. They are strong enough to hold my perch with a step always attached. It's easy get on an off in the tree.

Well, I start my first step above my belly button height, the next one goes as high as I can possibly reach front he ground, which puts it just above belly button height when I climb the first step. I repeat this with all four steps and I do the same with the final step/perch combo, so technically I do it with five, but I'm definitely getting more then 3.5' per step. Being 6'3" and flexible helps as well lol.

Oh to be young again.....LOL! At 57 it's just not feasible.....uh flexibly ain't there now for me dadgumit. I'm 6'3 too. Man I miss those days.......mind says yes, knees say NO! LOL!

@BigAl , @harold wright ,
Gents, I do believe it honestly does not matter how ya'll are getting the tree, as long as you can keep doing! Use what ever the heck you have to, can't no one tell you your doing it wrong! Here's to many, many more season of climbing! Hunt safe fellas, hunt often!
In the early 80s to late 90s all i used was 12 screw in steps and a lock on lem stand. to many miles on body now.

Starting to not worry about height.....look for cover. 8 stepps or 3 helims are my go to set for public. Screw in presets around home. I go when the knees or body says it is good.
