wrestle w/my kestrel

You could just be a natural leaner too, I find that comfortable. I just can't get comfortable sitting style, not even for a few minutes in the backyard. My bridge is really short at 20", and tether I like about chin high. And like others said the blakes hitch if it has a long lead between the knot and your biner, that eats up space so shorten that or go to a prusik.

I really couldn’t get comfortable sitting either last year in my kestrel. I rewatched some videos of Boswell with the long tether and bridge, and tried going overboard. It actually works out and I am able to get comfortable sitting. I am staying with an adjustable bridge so I can pull everything down compact and lean as well. It took an extreme for me to see the change though. I’ll have to measure bridge in comfortable sitting position next time I’m up there

Thanks guys for all the help...currently have the ropeman on my linemans, iffy on the tether....I'm a newbie, remember(lol). Shortened my bridge to 22", shortened the distance from my Blakes to the fig.8(biner) by about 8 in.. I just copied what I saw in the Kestrel kit. Huge diff. I know I'll be changing set-ups a lot but at least I can get in a tree safely and confidently...seasons close..I can almost taste it

How about just using your LB with the Ropeman as your tether once you get to hunting height?
