Yea I think the alignment of a handheld is what stops it from some of the torgue. They still do though from what I’ve seen. I noticed if I do torgue with a handheld I do it more consistently than with a wrist. So you’re definitely right about that.lol, I'm not too worried about cost, I was just observing a big change in this market. I agree if something is better it's often worth a few extra quid.
I'm sure there are releases that are simply put, better than the rest. But I guess I haven't had the exposure.
I watched some release videos on Elk Shape and all I took away from them is certain users are more comfortable with certain designs, and many shooters panic at the shot, and there doesn't seem to be a magic trigger that fixes that.
Personally, I think I don't mind some creep in my archery trigger. Maybe I'm wrong here, but a crisp trigger seems prime for punching shots instead of "pulling" into them.
I get what you're saying about string (d-loop) torque from a rigid release, but would think all these handheld releases would really suffer then, no?
Not saying the wise guy is the best either. I set my trigger so I can still pull into the shot like you’re mentioning. It’s kinda how you can skin a cat a few different ways. Also I shot a Hoyt so the string stops give me the little pull that you’re talking about. I’m glad u mentioned that.
