Not for nothing but....if you put a U.P. on the top and a (slightly modified) flat Monarch on the bottom of a stick and add a cam cleat you'd have almost the same thing, minus the 1 piece construction. Not sure of the total cost of that though.

I've got one. I don't think I could part with it. But, I have considered buying a UP because they're so similar. I think there's a pretty good chance the UP is as good or better.

Supposedly, there's only 50 Ions and I have seen a few sell on here just days after delivery. But, I suspect that those who sold already had UP's and found them superior

That would actually probably be pretty sweet haha but ill probably wait it out and see what pops up, until then ill continue using my mini shikar w/ flat scout

yeah ive heard some people liking the width of the U.P. over the width of the ion…id prefer to find an ion although i know ill have to pay up for it. Would look at getting the monarch but not sure when theyll be back in stock

Plenty of backup plans dont worry lol my .5 will see most of the work regardless if i find an ion or not

Doing a solid for you. I had an ion. It’s not that great. Get the flat monarch and put dano stand offs on the stick. Way superior in my opinion.

Not the first person to tell me this! I enjoyed my flat scout on the ewo last season and now i have the flat scout on a shikar mini but bent the post so looking to go back to ewo or the ion. Now to wait for the flat monarchs to be back in stock
