Yarak saddle by Wild Edge (part 2 included)

Can't say I was disappointed, but I am anxious to see the next video.
I do wish they made it without the rubbery lining on the material. It's the main reason I sold my Flex. I am interested to see the mesh version. It would be great if you could show a mesh one in your next video.
Thanks for making vids for us.
Thanks Tom, I was interested in the Yarak but don't like the idea of a rubbery lining. If I bought one I know I wouldn't have been happy. Looks like I'll stick with my Kestrel. You saved me some money.

I would think The rubberized lining should help with it riding up

If you guys will watch the video there are two diff versions. One similar to the flex with lining and a mesh version. I have not seen the mesh version so I couldn't use it in my video but I posted all the pictures that wild edge sent me to use!

So do they make it without the rubber liner? I’m not interested in the mesh.

No its either the cordura or the mesh. Sorry for the confusion. I do know that someone did a review and think it was mark dohring who tested the flex for breathabilty and the pleat material did breathe quite well. But me personally, I want the mesh

Yes sir. NWTN
How far NWTN, I'm very far western KY, we may not be that far apart. If your close we could get together sometime and geek out over saddle/climbing gear. None of my local buddies saddle hunt.

Is there a rubber liner in the Cordura model? I took my leg straps off my Kestrel because I like to slide around in it. I'm thinking they put the rubber in there to stop that?

The material in the pleat is a breathable nylon. Hold it up to the light and you can see right through it. So heat is definitely escaping through that. I've been testing it in 100+ temps with no problems. I think mesh is just naturally going to breathe better. But the flex is not a hot box. It breathes well.

I personally did not like the rubber liner in my Flex.
I tried out hanging from a post in the house and the sticky feel just didn't get it for me. I also felt that it could be noisy when I wore certain fabrics like rain gear.
I didn't test the Flex extensively because I wanted to keep it in new condition in case I wanted to sell it.
I really like my Kestrel, but I wanted to try the Flex. I knew it would be no risk because there was a waiting list to get one from Aero.
I wish they would make a pleated saddle without the lining.

The cordura will have the liner just like the flex. I'm with you tho. I'm not a fan of that portion of the saddle. Its only negative in my view

Tom, when I quizzed Sophia at Aero Hunter asking about the rubbery lining she gave me the following response:

"The coating on the Flex fabric is polyurethane, commonly used to give outdoor materials stability and water resistance. Users do not find that it causes sweating. Your Kestrel is made of two layers of Cordura nylon, which is also coated with polyurethane. In the Kestrel, you don't see the coating because it is hidden between the two layers. But the performance of the fabrics is the same in Flex as it is in Kestrel."
