Yarak saddle by Wild Edge (part 2 included)

Thanks for these videos. I wasn't too excited with the Flex because I didn't want a saddle with the cordura. Really interested in the Yarak mesh model.

Oh man. They making another saddle before they can even fill orders for the other saddle that came out this year. Haha sweet!

. Aero Hunter should worry about filling the orders they have before they make a "new" saddle for Wild Edge. Try fixing the problem of the Flex not staying closed then you would have a real difference between the two.

Just a thought, but you should do a little more homework on Aerohunter before throwing too much criticism their way. AH is just a part of New Tribe. While you may think the saddlehunting business is big, it is just a small part of their overall business. We are fortunate that they choose to supply products for our use at all. If you look at the shipment notices they put out weekly and watch it over a long period of time, you realize that the overall annual sales are very low for a hunting product and most would not choose to enter or serve this niche market. Same for Tethrd, and now Trophyline, we are lucky that some are willing to produce commercial products for us.

With that said, I have one of the first Flex saddles they shipped out. It is lighter/thinner and cooler than the Kestrel. I have zero issues with the waterproof lining or the linesman loops, so I don't see what the fuss about those is so far on the Yarak. I also thought I had an issue with the flex opening on its own, and sewed elastic to hold it shut. Those have since been removed. Honestly, I wish it didn't flex and was just the bigger size all the time. I will be buying a Yarak because I am in the south and mesh will be better for our temperatures. I also like what they did on the gear loops better than the std molle. I don't walk in with my saddle and I don't carry anything on my saddle, so those are almost useless to me anyway.

I do know that aerohunter posted last week they have hired additional personnel. They say that the production of the yarak has been kept separate than their own business as well. Meaning no orders have been delayed to make the yarak. I assume they have hired some people who their sole job has been produce yaraks while they've continued operations as is on their side

I just think its amazing that for well over a year saddles from ALL companies have taken over 4 weeks to get and people still don't get that they are just going to have to wait. Hunting equipment in general is that way when we look at climbing sticks and tree stands. Yes you can get a lot of stands year round but the top of line ones are usually sold out for a chunk of the year. Sticks are usually out of stock for 6 plus months of the year. Its just the way it is.

I think the Yarak is going to be a great saddle. The linesman loops look awesome and I also like the new gear loops.

Sorry, but the whole pre-order thing has left a bad taste with me. If you demand that I pay up front then fail to deliver on time you have no business working for someone else until you can deliver as promised. The Flex was sold as having the choice of open or closed. In reality if you put it on it will open and not stay closed. That is one reason I sold mine on after waiting longer than promised for delivery. I walk in with my saddle on and have pouches attached to the molly loops. I can understand the heat thing and that would make me want a mesh saddle but Trophyline says that they will have saddles ready for delivery from day one. When day one arrives who knows, but I bet it will be before a pre ordered and pre paid for Yarak/Flex arrives.

Wild edge is only selling in stock saddles. They are building up inventory and what ever they have they will sell and then close sales until the next batch comes in. That's what was said in the video.

I can't believe a thread in regards to the Wild Edge Yarak (which I'm looking forward to the mesh offering) has turned into a "bash on AeroHunter" thread. I hope the partnership between Wild Edge & AeroHunter flourishes, and I hope that WE takes a few cues from AeroHunter in regards to timely communication & customer service. In my opinion, AH is one of the most transparent companies in the hunting industry, & their customer service is nothing short of excellent.

I'm sorry for your experience but why dont you take to time to read what people are saying or watch the video instead of just ranting and bashing. The YARAK will also be in stock on day 1. Its in stock and for sale or out of stock and not for sale. So obviously some people feel the same as you about preorders and are trying to get out of the preorder business. Give them credit for that

Well said! I agree with everything you said! But its obvious that some people got on here to bash and did zero research about they are talking about.

I’m not sure why every topic on any product becomes a company bash instead of about the product.

I hope Wildedge does get there customer service up to Aerohunter. Because in the past Wildedge’s customer service was woefully inadequate.

I hope they hit a home run here. I am digging the mesh. I need the size 1 to fit like a size 1.5 Kestrel! Lol

If it is bashing to express how I feel about a company that took my money and didn't deliver on time and sold me a bill of goods about the flex option, so be it. Aero Hunter makes top shelf saddles but failed to judge the demand and failed to hire a new teem to meet that demand. They said they hired a new teem to sew the Yarak why not more people working to fill the Flex orders? It's not a new saddle it's a different model of the flex with fewer options and a different molly loop and lineman loop configuration. The only real new thing is the mesh seat and others have been offering that as standard for a long time. I sold my Flex on to a new saddle hunter and it only cost me a few dollars shipping. So if you have been waiting months to get your Flex I would cancel and try to be first in line September 1 on the Wild Edge web site or wait and get the Flex to. Then keep the one you like best, their won't be any difference in how they feel hanging from a tether. Sorry if I offended anyone trying to be honest by not raving about the latest and greatest "new" thing to come along. But then I am not trying to get a job shilling for the Yarak.

If you took my post personally I apologize. I was referring to almost every topic from any vendor over the last 6 months. It seems like “we” are very quick to condemn these companies for past history instead of thoughts on a new product. For instance we are talking about the WE “yarak” in this thread but Aerohunter is being talked about for the “flex” which isn’t the topic of this thread.

This is maybe a good time to review rule #3 from the link in my sig:

3. Be respectful of all other members

Please let cooler heads prevail. We're getting into the greatest time of year. No forum drama please.
Yep.
Saddlehunter forum has some of the most helpful, civil, sharing members that a forum could hope to have. This place is great.
Saddle hunting is also a niche style of hunting. It certainly isn't mainstream and it isnt big-box, Chinese, cater to the masses, type of gear manufacturing and marketing.
Geeze, it wasnt very many years ago that a lot of this gear was only DIY. As interest grew, some didicated SADDLE HUNTERS (as opposed to gear marketers) saw a growing need to provide some commercially available, quality products.
I feel extremely blessed that those guys have taken the lead.
Ive been hunting deer for 48 seasons and frankly, before I learned about the new generation saddle gear, hunting was starting to become the same old, same old ho hum.
Saddles have lit a new fire and enthusiasm under me for hunting.
I would advise anyone who is displeased with the current state of gear availability, that they can always go to Cabelas, Gander Mt, etc and settle for the same old crap that became boring to me.
For those that want to dedicate themselves to saddles...have some patience. The wait for gear to ship will be worth it and the market for used stuff is still very strong. I bought and sold my Flex for the exact amount I paid. I didn't lose a dime.

Now, its time to go glass the fields. There are some real slammers this year. I can't wait for the prime time hang.

Hey guys! September 1 is just a couple days away. Hope you all are as excited as me! Thank you guys for watching the yarak video's. And since you all did and commented, go check out my page. Got new footage from the TN velvet hunt! And some announcements coming in the near future!

I would like to be interested in the yarak but all I have seen is a few videos of guys talking about while it is plopped on table. There is another video of a guy that sits in it for a quick minute. I cant find it on there website to look it over. Seems like poor marketing? I can just wait for more folks to get it and review it a little more in depth but I know it will be out of stock by then. I want to be stoked for it but just cant get there.
