    Eastern VA/MD archery instructor wanted

In addition to the FFX Chapter, Izaak Walton has a Rockville Chapter. Haven't shot there, but it's not too far from I-270. There's also Southern Maryland Archers in Upper Marlboro, that has a good youth program.

    Question for the matthews folks.

I'm in the same boat. Bought a Chill R in 2014 but just can't let it go. Plenty of threads out there of people who traded/sold their Chill R's that now regret it.

    Binos

I'd go with 8x42 all day. The 5mm exit pupil is just too much too give up, IMO.

    Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all. Took my little guy to Izaak Walton, shot arrows at the range and fished for bream in the local pond. Camped overnight in the truck, and have never felt better in my life. Father's Day shouldn't be about sitting at home and getting new slippers; it should be about...

Summer time vacation in Maine? What to do?

And yes, I used that tagline spelling for a reason. I've seen many a career sidelined, and a few dudes with "some explaining to do" because they used an extra "p" in their spelling when describing their fishing plans for the weekend. ...:)

Summer time vacation in Maine? What to do?

Stripahs, Stripahs, Stripahs. Depending on what time of summer you go, you can catch the striped bass migration. Some of the best surf fishing around. You can even go sight fishing in Casco Bay like they do in the tropics....

Fish and Game club archery range revitalization: what would you want to have at your archery ranges.

I like the shooting platform, but I think dedicated lane(s)for setup/shooting with your own saddle/treestand would be a plus. So, a place where you can use your own sticks, climb, setup and shoot on a target out to ~30-40 yards would be a great way to do real dry runs. Also, an "Urban course"...

    Leafy Suit

Ditto that. I've been feet from deer while ground hunting and absolutely invisible to them. I'm talking 15 feet or less.

Give one tip on deer hunting

Surprised people haven't mentioned any of these: 1. LISTEN: For me, hunting is about listening to the birds if they alarm, squirrels if they bark, and the rhythm of the woods. If that rhythm is broken, then I know something is coming, and I can start getting mentally ready. 2. INTUITION...

What are some really good book about deer hunting?

Cosign. I bought his book years ago, but hearing "Mr. Bobby" live, hearing his wisdom, was a treat. This is one of those podcasts where you stop everything you're doing and just listen.

What are some really good book about deer hunting?

In addition to John Eberhart's books, here are my standouts: Bowhunting Trophy Whitetails - Bobby Worthington (worth it for his thoughts on pin selection alone) Bowhunting Forests and Deep Woods - Greg Miller (good primer on big woods/forests) Mapping Trophy Bucks - Brad Herndon (survey course...

    Trophyline Ambush Lite

Mine may be here as early as TODAY and I ordered on Tues pm. Regardless of how good the product turns out for me, Trophyline has hit it out of the park on the concept of shipping from inventory vs. just in time ordering/shipping.

    Arrow recommendations

I've found this site to be real helpful: www.archersadvantageonline.com Good for matching arrows to your bow setup. Have found some arrow/nock combinations from there that I'd never would have thought of that are optimum. $12/year to subscribe, a bargain in my book.
