Camo tape to silence everything.

If you're tall, like over 6', there's no way you'd need more than 3 wild edge steps to get easily over 20'.

Climbing with my 5 step aider is super easy. Now that I've done it for 2 seasons and probably made 40 or 50 climbs, it's just second nature. When I was first learning, I had a few kickouts. But you figure out how to avoid those pretty quickly.

There is no chance in hell I'd ever hunt with a climbing stick or Stepp Ladder without a long aider. The weight/bulk savings is too much to ignore. All it takes to build your confidence is time and repetitions. If you're willing to put in the time, aiders are a game changer.

Is it any more difficult going around limbs when fully on the aider? That is the only issue I can see with this method having not tried it.....Also, when are you hanging your platform? Are you on your last WE step or still in the aider? I have been hanging mine before I step up on the last stick.

I really like this idea but hate knaiders. Think I will try it with an attached Amsteel single step.

I don't find it difficult to go around limbs. Whenever I hunt mobile, I try to find trees with minimal limbs anyway. When I preset a tree, I want more limbs.

I set the Predator on the aider. It's too difficult standing in the top Stepp. What I could do is set the Predator from the third stepp at chest level. Next, add my 4th stepp at waist level and only use the knaider to climb on top of it. I've never tried that, but it makes logistical sense in my head.

I personally have been setting my platform on the top step not the aider. I set mine at waist level or slightly below which gives me and additional foot to foot and a half.

As far as leaners go as @g2outdoors stated extreme leaners are tough but they are not impossible. They are not for beginners in my personal opinion. I think once someone becomes proficient in climbing with aiders and has figured their balance points out then leaners really should be attempted. I personally have been climbing some leaners as of late somewhere in the 25-30 degree worth of lean.

I wanted to add that i think @g2outdoors elevated my method with the knaider. I have never used a knaider but I am interested in trying his way. Its always cool to see new ways to climb and peter and swamp both started it with the swaider/knaider. I took it a different route and G2 molded it all into something new. Now because these methods are so cool to all the new guys please just practice before headed to the field. I can’t tell you how many messages I have gotten over this method, likes and dislikes lol!! I have also seen quite a few guys run to the woods and just try it for the first time and find it difficult and give it up. Don’t get hurt, practice where its somewhat safe and have fun!!

Exactly! It takes time and effort to use these methods effectively.

What type carabiner are you using? I assume a wire gate would be the easiest to get on and off the step??

Some rando I had in the garage. Any load rated carabiner will work. The WE rung is really small and easy to clip on/off.
