You guys cut all this weight just to go back and add it all back in with video equipment. I guess I’m going to join y’all. Speaking of video I know sponsorship means a lot of hunters will be in hang on stands but it seems like putting the camera man in a saddle would be a no brainer. Just another portion of the hunting market to consider.

I've got my video gear trimmed to be as light as possible. If I didn't have video gear I would literally have nothing to carry with me lol. And that is a good point about the camera man setup. I have sat behind ladder stands and lock ons and filmed for others and it works perfect!

Full saddle setup including two Ropeman's, tether and lineman rope, saddle and platform should be under 5 lbs. My calculations are 4.25lb without the rope. The prototype platform I have is 2.69lbs with the strap. That may change a little on the final production model. That is the weight of my XOP platform alone!!

Wow! Can't wait. Awesome job guys

Is the pouches going to come with the saddle?

Do you know if the interior pocket will accommodate WE Stepps?
Yes it will. In my opinion the E&E is one of the few packs that are perfect for the light weight saddle hunter. With all of the MOLLE on the back and the sides, it's extremely modular. A platform straps easily to the back and you can put several WE steps inside. LW or Muddy style sticks can also be attached to the back with the platform if desired.

No doubt on the Molle for a pack, if you cant afford the EnE theres some out there for airsoft at $50

Are you still using your DA pack for everything?

Yeah, I use it a ton. It's been a great pack but the inside lining on the smaller outside compartment is starting to fall apart. I will probably just hack that section out since I don't really use it. The rest of the pack has withstood a good amount of abuse over the last three years.

I just bought a horn hunter because I couldn’t find the DA pack i wanted “the ghost”. Ill see how it works but i like the ruggedness of those packs and was just curious how all the camera gear would fit. You know carbon arm, g40 with remote and go pro the standard film gear, plus sticks lol!!

That is the pack I'm still using. The horn hunter is a good pack. It fits everything nicely for filming but I know there has to be a better option. I just haven't found it yet
