Aero Hunter Adjustment

Unless I'm mistaken, aren't there dedicated loops for the line mans belt? I think he just needs to move it to the other loop

Yup my thoughts too. Boswell would know that too. 2 Gear loops and two loops for your linemans belt

I think if you look closer, that is the loop where the linesman belt connected, so if it's wrong, it came from newtibe , that say. I just took the linesman belt knot loose, and replaced with the petzl ring, and tied loop.

That is not the loop that the linemans belt needs to be attached to. The linemans belt needs to be attached to one of the 2 large cloth loops just behind where the paws would have been. The carabiner might have been connect to that loop for storage, but I HIGHLY doubt that it was tied to that gear loop, as it wouldn't have made it past Casey and quality control. Regardless, you need to take that and move it to one of the 2 loop on the side of the saddle.

Thanks,
Boswell

Yeah that definitely looks like the accessory loop on the backside of the saddle. Whether the linemans belt came tied to that loop from the factory or not is up for debate, but what isn't is that it's the wrong loop to use for the linemans belt.

Luckily it's an easy fix.

Maybe? But for me, the main goal was to add the ropeman to my bridge without adding a carabiner so there is no rattling

I really liked this idea, I ended up going a bit cheaper route, just bought one petzel ring for the right side to attach the ropeman, and just use the original rig piece on the left side with a stopper, I'm pretty happy with it that way. I think yours is probably better, but the cheapest rope 40" with the splice eye I could find was on ebay for 30 bucks.. those petzels are available on amazon now for $20 fyi, I'm going to test it this way for a while and maybe make the 50 dollar upgrade later on. good tip though glad I saw this post a while back

I assume this takes less effort to adjust the bridge length. ? is that correct? What % less effort?
Any weight savings?
And is there any metallic noise from the ring / ropeman connection?
Probably could quiet that with adding heat shrink tubing applied to the ring before putting the ropeman on.
