Ok, they're in. Let me know if you want something different (length, color, etc) and if I get enough interest I can stock additional options.

It wouldn't be a good replacement. This buckle is good for when you want to get something tight without it moving anymore. On the lw straps and predator you want to get things pretty tight and then set them in. The cam buckles they use work good for that. Can this be used to replace the LW straps. Or the strep on the predator platform?

Right now I am using an ameristep strap with the extra webbing that held the step in removed. If you have one of these straps this is the easiest route because it already has the little U hook sewn into it.
I was using a different buckle originally. It was a black buckle made for 2 inch webbing but it was much bigger than this one. It worked great and was pretty light, it was just bulky

I’d like to use this to attach my camera arm base/shoulder to the tree. Assuming I’d just need to cut that hook off and run the bolts on the base through them straps? Anyone done that?
You might need to customize your straps a little but you can definitely use this buckle to hold a camera arm to the tree.
I’ll have to try it. It’s cheap enough, but I’ll have to add a couple foot extension to it. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I didn’t see any longer than 3’.You might need to customize your straps a little but you can definitely use this buckle to hold a camera arm to the tree.

Thanks DanO! I did see your strap on the site the other day. Forgot about that! Should be able to just sew some loops in that and it should work well. Here is a 7 footer custom strap. https://doublesteps.com/product/ring-of-steps-strap-7/
anybody use the buckle that strapworks sells? https://www.strapworks.com/product_p/mth-ocb-001.htm
I have a strap and just need the buckle. The price is right but I'm not sure how much leverage you can get compared to other options, and whether that locking action is a bug or a feature?
