More or less that's what I think. Eventually mesh plus add ons might obsolete cordura but that's just speculation. Though the cordura will be slightly warmer than the mesh because when insulation is compressed, the cordura is a bit thicker and of course solid fabric.

Thanks

I’m imagining the mesh is more comfortable than cordura, so...

- more comfortable sit
- not as hot early season
- bit colder in late season

Mesh probably edges out the cordura

@Boudreaux and I recorded a podcast about the Kestrel last night that will launch on Thursday, and we made sure to touch on the mesh. I was one of the testers last year and did a lot of hunting out of it as well as walking through rough cover.

Compared to the current cordura version, the mesh requires less sewing and has different buckles, both of which will noticeably drop the price and weight. Also, lineman's loops will be positioned a little further forward and molle loops will be slightly looser for easier attachment of accessories.

My 2 issues were molle too tight and lb loops too far back. Maybe I need to try the mesh!?

I love my Kestrel and will never get rid of it. It was my first saddle and definitely won't be my last. I don't know if I'll be able to pick up the mesh addition to their line this year or not but I will definitely own one eventually. Besides the fact that Aero Hunter makes a quality product, Bobby spent a ton of time with my daughter showing her the ropes, if you will, at SaddlePalooza. He is a Super nice guy. There's no way I wouldn't support any Endeavor and he's taking part in. Definitely not going to tell my wife how excited I am to find out some more information about this new saddle Aero Hunter is going to release. It might just give her a heart attack!

Right there is your excuse for a second saddle!! Got to get the kids involved ...

do you know when we get to see pictures/video of the buckles and such?
Pass through buckle for the waist and belt buckle style buckles for the leg straps. The leg strap buckles can be undone so you don't have to step through the leg loops. I personally would always just step through them and pull the saddle up.

Well this is exciting but now I need to wait a little bit longer to buy a new saddle. I just can't go and purchase something without seeing all my options .No matter what I still have my treesuit to hunt out of so I can be patient.

Any talk of a youth size? My son is 19 but is only 5 feet tall and weighs maybe 90 pounds. He is the only reason I still have a hang on stand.

You're gonna love the Mantis!!!!

This is exactly why I have decided to just chill. So many new options popping up. I bought the Evo so I have it until I’m decided on the best purchase for me in another saddle if any. I don’t know about y’all but I just can’t keep pouring money into this. I do like the fact that I would get adjustment straps on the Kestrel already included. I’m just gonna hurry up and wait.

I still own and love my EVO too. I have a kestrel now and have been practicing with it, I personally found the EVO more comfortable, but the kestrel is way smaller, lighter, and minimal.

Wow so they are going away from the cobra buckles for the waist belt? The passthroughs look really nice. I really liked being able to unclip leg straps on my kestrel, and appreciated not having to step through it (especially in late season).

Unless I'm mistaken aren't both those types of buckles supposed to have the end sewn doubled over so they can't be undone all the way? I thought the double back buckle is the only one that is safe without that.
