Electric bikes

I can post up some of the videos I found helpful though.

(I don't know if this one is necessary but it made sense to me so I did it)

If you have your bike already you can go ahead and dig into removing the sprocket and crank from your bottom bracket. It takes some odd tools that you may have to order on amazon, but once you get proper tools its easy

no I had to buy the 30t chain ring separate. The 42-48ish rings come from bafang with the motors, so probably why they are the only options in the packages.
Do you have problems with chain alignment with the 30t sprocket?

I finally bought my battery this week. I how to have everything installed this weekend.

no...after going through the limit screws and indexing the gears (video above) it shifts through everything great

Before I went through that process, it wouldn't shift into the higher gears. All good now though

Make sure your chain length is correct first (also a video above for that) then do the limit screw/index

another thing (Cajun) is you definitely want one of these https://www.amazon.com/Variable-Sen...F8&qid=1518029445&sr=8-5&keywords=gear+sensor

if you didn't grab that option in your package, pick one up on amazon

It kills the motor for a split second when you shift, so you can just gun the throttle with one thumb and gear up and down with the other without worries.

Also I do not think the Brake kill levers are necessary at all. I thought my brake levers looked cooler than the bafang ones so I didn't install bafangs :sunglasses:
Didn't see how or why you would need brake cut offs unless you have a problem letting go of throttle when you want to stop.

Haha I’ve already watched every single video you posted! I’m ready to get this party started. I ordered the Luna tool kit from them so I think I should have every tool I need. I am having to rebuild my front shocks on my old mountain bike right now.

I wondered of the brake levers were necessary. I kept looking for a way to leave them out of the order but it looks like they’re part of the kit.

I’m going to try without the gear sensor. I ride motorcycles a lot and I’m used to letting off the throttle to change gears. I also ordered the twist throttle so it would feel more like home. If for some reason I can’t seem to get the shifting right then I’ll go back and order the sensor.

Thanks for all the input! If you can think of anything else please speak up.

How are the bikes holding up for hunting? Sorry to resurrect an old thread

I haven’t used mine for deer yet but for turkeys it was amazing. It’s way more fun than I ever thought it would be and I find myself going out just to ride lol. No issues yet and I have taken it in some rough terrain and some steep hills. I guess time will tell lol

Which bike did you get?

I built my own using a Framed Minnesota 1.0 and Bafang BBSHD motor. It’s a beast!

I did the same thing a Fling and it has been fantastic. That thing has saved me sooo much time, energy and noise. The only time I had a hard time with it was when pigs tore the hell out of routes I used and then it rained. There was no way to ride the bike through that area. I had to lift it up and carry it. That was a huge pain!

I went with an off the shelf option. Juiced Ripcurrent S. Couldn't be happier.
