I did some spot and stalk on an urban pig only public piece. Not a whole lot of sign, but I was only able to cover a little less than 1/4 of the place because of a river that cuts through and only foot access from one side of it.
I did have one pig right at the edge of the other side of the river, but it was a hard out of range and I wasn't swimming to recover it.

This is where the pig was, on the other side of this HUGE log jam. 45ish yards

This is the first year I've hunted during archery season in about ten years. When I was younger I would be burnt out by the time November got here. Right now I'm limiting myself to about one sit and a few hours scouting each week.

Hearing what you all are seeing really has me excited for my season to open!! Come on Oct. 1....

@donnieballgame that is one heck of a worn trail you are hunting! Keep at it!

Yeah, worn trail but it's a funnel and I can see both sides, probably a little too close to the trail but it was my first time in this area, just happy to see something! I did leave a SRT 550 cord about 40' up, so I'm all set for next time! Oh and it's not right off the trail, lol.

95 degrees today. 77 at 0430 when I left the house. No deer. I'm really starting to question my sanity.

Not going to lie....my first thought was GROSS. But, good for you for getting out there! Good luck! I'll be watching for your monster swamp donkey picture!

Supposed to be in the high 60s Sunday morning but I won't get to hunt it. Free sauna and you don't have to keep wetting the rocks. Humidity is included. That's why I have a hard time doing presets in that type of terrain. It's just too hot to run and gun. I think your locations will really heat up after they get pressured and have to head for thick cover.

I'm going Saturday at some point.
