Live from the tree 2017 version

My worst nightmare is being half way up when our steps a stud and my bow in on the ground! You carrying up with you in your hand? Maybe I do need spurs!

Just smoked a stud!!!!!! I wasn't even at hunting height yet. Probably less than 10 feet up the tree on my spurs. Lol, first time I've ever shot one from a lineman's belt.

Huck's deer!

Buck came by at 11? Was he cruising for does?
I don't know what he was doing. I just know that once a buck turns that corner ( hormonally ), your odds increase significantly during midday hours. It has worked for me for as long as I remember. Once I find enough scrapes to indicate prerut activity, I immediately abandon the morning and evening patterns. Later switch to all day sits when the phase dictates.

Team #2 stops playing the man down game today. The weather is here, the sign is getting good and the schedule has thinned at just the right time. The only way to get a pass tonight is small headgear.

Update... it wasn't 2 does lol. Looks like my first buck tag will be used on a really long and huge 2 inch spike. I did get a nice broadside heart shot, he went 50 yards and stopped, watched him the whole time. Wouldn't have shot if I knew it was a little spike, he was looking asst and I was thinking this is perfect, won't see me move and get setup, lol.

Was thinking as I was waiting for them to expire how I was set for rut, 2 buck tags, we have earn a buck here, now I can't even shoot a buck.

Oh I did get pass through on the first, but the arrow never completely left his body, he broke the arrow as he ran off, exit wound was front right shoulder, kind of crazy. Second deer, the doe I got a lung but hit the stomach, or I hit it when I was gutn, although I think it was the shot :( hopefully the meat is good!

I think in NY you can use your doe tag for that spike. Congrats! 12 pts for team 7??

Too bad, same in NJ. Less than 3 inches is antlerless.

Congrats on your double!
Thanks, I think they should have some rule because you can't tell when they are that small. In VA if it's longer than the hair it's a buck, lol

At least I got some points for Team 7, and I've got some time to upgrade that buck. Although I have to get another doe first.

Oh and the best part my wife "oh good you are done hunting" serious face......LMAO!
