Live from the tree!

Nice! Do you know where you're going? I'm pretty familiar with some areas up there. I'd love to tell you I would meet up with you but my season is such an big unknown right now.
Not sure yet, were planning to go up one of these next weekends to do a little bit of scouting

If you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them

Just had to pass up a perfect shot at a yote cause we can only shoot deer on Sunday. And just spotted another one as I type this. Bummer

First hunt from the saddle and missed the first doe of the year. Dang it. Liking the saddle though.

My hunt yesterday was miserable. Soooooo hot. I'm going to strap the spurs back on and try that again.

Once I was set, it was ok. But hanging my 3 LW sticks in 90 degree heat was no bueno.

Hunted Alabama one yr, crazy. I headed out and was stripped down to a T-shirt before I got to my stand. Guess its all what your used to, you will acclimate.

Quick hunt tonight. No time for anything special. Got in late and snuck into a perennial big buck bed about 75 yards away in some balsams. Spurred up to ~28 feet and set up with the saddle. Target bed produced a 2 year old, 110-115ish 8 pt at 22 yards. Not what I was looking for but a successful hunt regardless. First "win" of the season hunting beds as I haven't had the opportunity to hunt much this season plus first successful sneak on a buck bed with spurs. I really like how quiet I can climb with these. I just need to do some mods on the buckles!

First time out this year and it was too darn hot!! No, I wasn't in a saddle. I'm still getting the saddle dialed in. Hopefully I'll be in it by this weekend or next week....

Awesome man!!!! What kind of Spurs ?

Used a grunt call near a bedding area. A buck circled me an winded me tonight no shot. Even hot in Ontario... 70 degrees which is hot for October... and mosquitos... Second hunt of the year

Saw three bears last night. I've found the ultimate climbing solution. A set of bear claws. I watched one of them climb up a tree 50 yards from me and they were higher than me in seconds. This was the first time I've been a little unnerved in the woods in a while. I was keeping an eye on the two that I had been watching all night as I started to pack up when another one showed up about 30 yards away. That one watched me climb down the tree lol. After I got halfway down I couldn't see him anymore cause it was thick on the ground so I quickly packed up and got the heck out of there.

Heck yeah bear paws one set for the feet and one for the hands. Yeah I know what you mean about being unnerved. Watching them its amazing how they climb and then on the ground they can just disappear. We can't carry a side arm when bowhunting in CT however our population is on the significant rise. My plan is to pull a Davy Crockett if I can't get away and just wrestle them to the ground hahaha

Lol. We can't carry a sidearm either. Heck, I don't think its even legal to carry a can of bear spray. The crazy laws in this state... And we've had a couple people eaten by bears in the past few years too. We have a huge population. I want to hunt them just to do my part to thin them out. Unfortunately the seasons are rather short and mostly during the week so I have to dedicate a lot of PTO to bear hunting if I really want to.

Yeah we luckily can carry bear spray but I never do. If its life or death well that bear will be met with a broadhead or blade lol Im going home you know!! We had a woman nipped about 6 months back and just some bear on animal attacks however our state has a bear study going on now so they will not make a decision until its over which is like 3 years from now. Till then we will try to avoid them as best as possible.
