Off season plans

Did some garage remodeling...

Added shelving from floor to ceiling on west side of garage. 2x4's and 1/2" ply. Less than $100 in material including hardware (just deck screws). Had some other shelves I recycled and was able to use almost all of the material from. Amazing to have so much storage!!

And a yard tool hanger... (made from scrap lumber)

And a fishing rod rack!! (also out of scrap lumber).

Nice!

Nice work d_rek! Did you have plans or come up with it on your own? I've been thinking of doing the same in my garage for a while.

Just got back from our Colorado vacation... I'm missing the mountains already. Good thing I get to go back in a month!

A friend had something similar and I kind of modified their idea a bit. The shelf frames are very basic just a frame and a few struts to keep them from being too wobbly while I raised them. The side of the shelf frame sitting against the garage wall studs are screwed directly to the studs without any additional bracing. The struts on the front I just did a small brace to keep them level while raising the shelves.

Very happy with how these turned out my garage was a nightmare before this!!!

Made 3.5 quarts of Carolina reaper mash (hottest pepper in the world) today to go along with the 4.25 gallons of ghost pepper mash I made a couple weeks ago..... that will be, after adding vinegar, about 8 gallons of reaper and ghost pepper sauce and another 4.5 gallons of already finished green ghost pepper sauce. I may have to skip a year growing Peppers now.....

Holy cow that's a lot of sauce! How long does it take you to eat that much?
