Off season plans

Put in a 1/3 acre throw and mow plot today and spread 200lbs of lime to go with it. Almost all the private I have access to fits in this picture LOL

I also found a couple Mexican plums on the place about 60 yards behind where the camera was in the last pic. One of the trees was dropping like crazy.

Well, we struck out on our elk trip this week. But, it was an awesome trip.

Oh, and I about killed my father and it shows in his face in this next pic. This was day 1 and I pushed him to 6 miles of hiking all over from 10,300 feet up to 11,500. We topped out for the trip at 11,900 feet, but I gave him a few days before doing that to him!

EDIT: I should have also picked up a bear tag because I had a nice one in at 35 yards. He even gave me plenty of time to draw if I could have.

Got a groundhog that I’ve been watching in my yard for the last month or so. Noticed some holes popping up near some piled up stumps behind my house. He had been sneaking to the other side of the property to the pear tree to feed. Shot at 30 yards with a g5 montec

We had a beautiful cold front move in last night. Temps dropped from a high of 93 yesterday to a high of 69 today. The rain was over by morning. It would have been a perfect day to be in the woods.... but I couldn’t be.
Instead I added the vinegar to the last batches of hot sauce for the season.
The official total this year is 13.5 gallons of ghost pepper and Carolina reaper sauce. I’ll have some at saddlepalooza for everyone to try.

Haha no way. I’ve fished there a long time ago. I’m on Gee Lake right next door. I know a few people on that lake. I’ll be up there in a few weeks mowing a few Talley burgers!

We go up for the 4th every year. My in-laws have a house up there. Will be up June 30-July 5th this year. Will catch the fireworks in Johannesburg as usual. May have Had a few drinks and burgers at talleys. We are right off meridian line and hilltop if you take it all the way until it turns to dirt.

Small world. I always drive down that road looking for the mega bucks in the fenced in property.
