The SH Membership has gone live. Only SH Members have access to post in the classifieds. All members can view the classifieds. G2 I was told the firearm registration has been mad easier from what it was in the past. Could you elaborate on this. I know in the past you couldn't just show up register a firearm and hunt on the same day. Something about not being to enter the facility with a firearm that hasn't been registered and having to go on base to register. I believe I read somewhere that the move the office off base to remedy that problem but I'm not sure. I would also suggest everyone going follow the link to the Stewart hunting site and read the regulations. Mostly about checking in/out and how all users riding in the same vehicle need to display their parking pass in the windshield.
I'll be putting out the information about weapon registration very soon. There are a number of regulations (weapons, check-in, open areas, etc.) each hunter will need to be familiar with.

Teaching school simply doesn't allow me to go on trips like this; however, in two years after I retire I would love to.

Teaching is a tough job. My wife taught Kindergarten, 4th and 5th grades. It was not an easy profession.

all this sounds cool. im with the guy that said cover as much ground as possible and then just stalk them. is that what you guys are doing or are you gonna be in a tree?
ive been planning a hog trip for about a year now, among other hunts. i was looking at NC though. but this sounds good. Ive jumped from a few planes in GA before. familiar with the landscape.

If I'm hunting hogs exclusively on public land that's the only way I hunt them. The only exception to that is if I find a food source that they are really hitting hard close to a thicket that I don't think I could slip through undetected.
I'll play it by ear. I've seen more hogs from a tree than I have walking around. Who knows. If it's cold, I'll more than likely walk because I won't get sweaty.
Prepare yourselves.
I ended up stalking those 4 pigs and shooting one of them. Could have shot another, but 2 pigs is enough for one day.
