Hey fellas, I have a couple of firearms, and a canoe I can lug with me if there is anyone flying in that thinks they would use them.

I think we need a list of items Members need that are flying in or otherwise don't have for this hunt

Great idea.

Flyers - post here, or send me a pm, any gear that would be helpful if provided at the venue. I feel pretty confident we can make it happen and save you guys from lugging all your camping gear on a plane.

I was supposed to be away feb 6-mar 6 for a training mission, but it doesn’t look like it will happen. So it’s looking good for me being able to attend. As for the Pike County Rut Cation - I hope it’s true! Iwent to college in the golden triangle of Illinois before I started hunting. Didn’t realize the gold mine I was sitting on

@g2outdoors What is the plan with hunting? Spot and Stalk/Slip Hunting? Block Hunt?
Probably all of the above. We can hunt in groups or go off on our own. I would say covering ground is the best bet. However, I see a ton of pigs in my saddle hunting close to the rivers. It's rare that I don't see at least 5 or 6.

I will be packing light on the plane so I am bringing a handgun. If anyone has a .22 mag I can use for the restricted areas, that would be awesome.

I should have either a 22 mag or a 17 wsm you can borrow.

I'll be bringing a 22 Magnum and 17 HMR. I'm not planning on hunting since I know my daughter will not be thrilled about it. Just plan on spending quality time at the camp with her so either one of these weapons will be available if somebody needs them.

Hey @g2outdoors I didn't see a link to the weapons registration in here. I did see mention of "appropriate paperwork" regarding weapons you may not own... every weapon I own was either gifted to me as a kid, or inherited. The inherited pieces weren't specifically listed in the will, so I essentially have no purchase/ownership paperwork for any of my firearms.... Any idea if this will be an issue?
