Sneak peak of the New Aero Hunter Saddle

Hmmmm... if I'm seeing right, the lineman belt loops look to connect at one point where they would fold close making it hard to snap into. Both ends of that loop would be better spread apart at 2 attachment points at least 2in apart so that the loops hold open. I might not even be looking at it right. Just an observation.
The gear loops and accessories hangers are genius. Sure to be a customizable favorite.

We are a sad bunch. I've been sitting money in hand waiting on ordering info. I wonder if the sizing will be similar to the old version.

Isn't that the truth? haha

Thanks for that latest pic, Boswell!

Just went to the aerohunter.com site and it's apparently offline due to "improvements" being made. I'm hoping they are loading the new product info. Fortunately, my new SD just arrived so maybe doing a few mods will help distract me...:sunglasses:

Reinforced to help keep them open. The linemans loop from the Evo was a lot of time and labor in the shop (difficult to sew and more material) we switched to and "eye" linemans belt and reinforced it to help keep it open as well as added a little safety feature built it. Did this to cut down on the cost so it cheaper for you guys.

Thanks,
Boswell

So it is attached at one point?
Couldn't it be attached like the gear loops with some slack? (Horizontally)
I think the evo was attached vertically if I remember. I can understand that being hard to manufacture.
Other than that, looks great! You have way more saddle time than me. I'm sure it's gonna work fine. Like I said, I have faith in y'all!

Both of these are great points! Keep feeding us info and we will keep eating it up. That is for all the input on the design side and what you are giving us now.

I feel like you are rationing us on info so we do not get overwhelmed all at once!

KY opener is first weekend of September!! Can we place orders yet

I know you can't release all the details without approval but will this harness be capable of conducting a rappell like some of us spur climbing folk prefer to do??

Great question. Although I have found by shortening my bridge to zero, I can rappel fairly easily with the aero.

I don't know what a harness needs to be capable of repelling? So it wasn't looked into in the design, that said it might be capable, I just know nothing about it.

Thanks,
Boswell

Basically where the center strap from the leg stirrups attach to the belt there would need to be a attachment point that was rated high enough to be life saving. If not as Ernie pointed out a short enough bridge would give you something to attach to. It's just the farther from your body your descender is the tougher it can be to control.

More or less curious if the hook up on the front end with the bridge will be similar to the evo or the original aero?
