I wouldn't use the word deceive. But I do believe they are trying to make money. Tethrd has grown into a full time job for those whom started it. It's supporting their salaries and lifestyle. They are a marketing machine (not a bad thing), but they released new products prior to meeting the demand for those they have already sold, more than likely by using some if the the income created from the "presales" of the undelivered product. They continue to take people's money and miss expected delivery dates and build up a back log. They created a 2nd Gen product because a first one was failing and didn't communicate the change to their consumer base(at all), just slipped the gen 2 on to the site in place of the other an kept rolling. That was intentional. As @BayouBeauxhunter said (paraphrased) you have to look at how a company behaved in the past and assume they will continue to act the same way. It's time to get off the "we're a new company, bro, we're killing it and doing our best" horse and own up to their own inability to deliver product on time. They owe it to their customer base they've built with their killer marketing. Time to shift gears and concentrate on operations and production.Once they staff up to have a full time marketing department I’m sure all of these things will be addressed in a more timely manner, but until then I doubt anyone at Tethrd is trying to intentionally deceive anyone regarding product origin or lead times and shipping updates. We’re talking about a company that is less than a dozen people, many putting in crazy hours to meet the current surge in demand for their products.
