The new aero hunter mesh kestrel

Lol I’ve been freaked out since the beginning of the kestrel hype. Just need a break. Or a legitimate reason to freak out.

This is the pic they posted on their FB page.

That’s interesting. I would like to see it in use.

The metal connection offers the rigidity needed to make the lanyard slide. It offers the fulcrum point to take the load off the knot ie the prussic.

Personally, I like the rope slider. I think Aero Hunter came up with an alternative to the ropeman

Try it, the Paracord loop just needs to be shorter than the length of the prusik to the carabiner.

You can use a pulley or a ring. This is common in the amongst arborists.

With the sewn eyes you could use a different type of asymmetric prussik, there's a few that work nicer than the standard 3 over 3 prussik. Looks like a nice feature.

Any idea if the mesh saddle will be available for order on July 4 as mentioned earlier? My amazing wife ordered a kestrel for me for Father’s Day, but she didn’t know the mesh version was on the way. I live in south Louisiana so the mesh is ideal.

We used to use a “pulley” method when rock climbing while leading but only if we forgot a piece of equipment like the ropeman or grigri etc.
