I've got to chime in on liking the leg buckles. Wearing the Kestrel in I like to hook the leg buckles together behind without routing them around my legs. I leave them hanging loose. Something about hiking with the leg straps around my thighs that I really find uncomfortable. I had the same issue with safety harness leg straps back in the tree stand days. When I get to the tree I just unbuckle them, route them around my leg and reconnect. Don't have to take the saddle off and step through that way.

I've got the same issue as Boyne Bowhunter. I have ended up packing in my safety harness/RC harness, and put on at bottom of tree due to discomfort walking in with them on, or having them hanging funny. Size 13 boots, plus winter gear at the bottom of the tree stepping thru is comical at best, and hard to stay quiet when 70 yds from bedding.

Would love the option to have buckle leg straps on any saddle. hoping to pull the trigger on someones mesh saddle mid summer.

I do the same.

I apologize if this has already been mentioned. Does anyone know if moving forward with production, the original Kestrel will move loops forward along with wider molle like the mesh?

Yes, the D belt is farther forward, leg straps are a bit longer so they do not rest directly under the eye straps, molle gaps have slightly more room. In addition, we will be making a small adjustment to the linemans belt which makes it adjustable with one hand. Both the cordura and mesh versions will have these improvements.

Is this a new tease? One handed linesman belt adjustment without a ropeman?
