what bow holder/hanger do you use?

Guess I need to position my bow for the anticipated shot. I'll try it out, but I'm coming to house if I need to resight my bow in. :p

I have a target out back....

The camit looks really nice, but it doesn't look like it will be very small for packing in and out. Matty is right that it shouldn't be too hard to build a custom version. I have a couple ideas that I've been rolling around for a custom version that is more compact, if it works out I'll let you guys know.

I run an amersistep strap on through the back of a large TL accessory pouch. Everything is within easy reach. Maybe not the best idea but will hang a rifle from the step if not windy.

Custom strap on bow holder I made this afternoon. I had some of this instamorph laying around from a previous project so I molded it around a frame I made out of a wire coat hanger. http://www.amazon.com/InstaMorph-Mo...F8&qid=1411347389&sr=8-1&keywords=insta+morph I ordered some black plastidip that I'm going to coat it in. I think it should work good.

Strike one on the first place, I still have a call out to second place to see if they have any waiting on a reply back.

Thanks,

That Instamorph looks like a cool material to have on hand.

I made one out of an extra large non climbing Carabiner.
Just broke out the Gate wrapped it in Camo Cloth Tape and hang it from a Dasiy Chain.
I can wedge my Bow on it where the Takedown (Recurve) bolt holds it up.
And I can remove it one handed without knocking an arrow off the shelf.

I shhot a longbow with a quiver. I made a leather strap that attaches to my quiver and has a 1 inch hole on top. I then hang this from a HME hook strap. Quiet and goes on/off easy. It can also be used with the small screw in hangers or a hook on my saddle.

I use a 12" piece of Romex sheathed 3 wire electric cable. I use it as a big twist tie. It's firm enough to hold my bow while shaped in an "L"and I can twist it however I need to to get the length I need. I just hang it from my tree strap. I use another one on the right side of the tree to hang my quiver. I've never had issues of slipping or my stuff falling.

I like that idea!

Hey guys,

I picked up a lone wolf EZ hang hook from a local pro shop. I had never seen this product before and really liked that you could tighten it down with a cam buckle. The pro shop was only asking $10 for this product: http://www.lonewolfhuntingproducts.com/shopping/Products/E-Z-Hang-Hook-System__EHHS.aspx

I had an extra ratchet strap hook with the soft rubberized coating laying around that I also put on the strap.

This way I can hang my bow - from the limb - and my pack on both sides of the tree. The second J hook sits pretty tight against the tree despite not being 'flush'.

This is a very easy strap to use and setup, and can be very very quiet to do also. The whole thing, when rolled up, fits inside of a pocket.

Good find. My HME accessory strap is very similar. It also uses the cam buckle.
